This year I got beautiful bright red poppies, cosmos, pink mallows and various colored toadflax so far and they’re so pretty! A few haven’t bloomed yet and I can’t wait to see what they are.
These seem like very resilient plants though (a lot of sprouts I ripped out and tossed aside just kept growing lol), so maybe use a bit of cautious before planting directly in ground, as many also will also self sow.

How to Plant Hummingbird and Butterfly Wildflowers
When to Plant
For Spring planting, it is best to plant within a month after the final frost of the winter season.
For Fall planting, plant the seeds after the first frost to eliminate any chance of germination. Planting in the Fall gives you a jump start on Spring blooms.
Where to Plant
Though many wildflowers do tolerate some shade, and a few actually thrive in it, the vast majority prefer a sunny environment. Wildflowers will generally grow in all but the most difficult conditions.
How to Plant
Clear the area and soften the soil before planting your seeds. For larger areas, use a seed spreader to create a better dispersion of the seeds. After the seeds have been sown, lightly compress the seeds into the soil about 1/4" to protect from birds. Keep the soil moist until germination begins.
How To Care For Wildflowers
Although Wildflowers are easy to grow and take care of, there are some steps to keep them looking beautiful. Regularly weed to ensure your wildflowers are getting the nutrients they need. Water your plants during long dry spells.

Still enjoying these wildflowers in October!

This was the first time I attempted growing wildflowers from seed, and overall, I am very happy with them. I am in central Virginia, zone 7b, and I ended up planting late, like mid- June, so nothing started blooming until August or so. I watered with a sprinkler for probably 2 months as it is so hot here. I got probably about a third of the flowers growing they say are in the packet. That could be soil, weather, time of planting, I don't know. The flowers that have done best are the zinnias, the marigolds and the cosmos. Some of others that have come up are forget me not, tree mallow, Salvia, asters, nasturtium though in this group not too many have come up and flowered. A few Alyssum and a few catch fly though they were tiny. The only other issue I've had is that after storm or rain the tallest ones- cosmos (which are up to like 8 feet) and marigolds are at least half falling over. I just don't want to have to stake flowers so may just stick with zinnias next year. Though the marigolds and cosmos have gorgeous flowers! I've shown in the picture a few different growth stages - the last one is today, mid October, still gorgeous blooms but alot of plants falling over. If you look closely at one of the pictures of all the flowers,, there is a butterfly! That's why I wanted these in the first place , for the pollinators. There are still lots of bees on all the flowers so I don't have the heart to cut down the ones that have fallen over as they are still making flowers. And I have had some incredible bouquets too. Overall, as I look back, I have received a lot of joy from these flowers!

These seeds practically sprouted over night. Certainly less than 24hours. If you’re having trouble with them make sure you’re using a good organic based soil and you can mix it with your local soil. I combined a high quality soul and organic fertilizer from a brand called Jobes, and I’m getting excellent results. I live in Florida and have kept these in a relatively shady area. Thank you for selling these seeds, I will return and purchase more.

People complain that these seeds don't germinate and that they had bad results. If you till the ground well with plenty of composted manure, mix the seeds with sand, sprinkle the seeds when the ground is warm enough, and water the seeds every day for about 10 days you will get wild flowers galore in the spring. I used to have a grass full of weeds in my front yard, and converted the whole thing into a cottage garden with this package. see my pictures before and after

This garden patch was completely tilled up perfectly prior to seeding and the soil was completely weed free. All that is growing are weeds and crab grass. No flowers have sprouted. Very disappointed with this product. Complete waste of money!!!
