It is very beautifully designed. The Glass surface looks shining and smooth. The built quality and accuracy match the brand's reputation. However, there are two scratches at the back. Also the label was slanted. Please see the photos. if it was not shipped to NZ, I would like to get a replacement with no scratches.

I recommend this for any kitchen. It has a nice modern look and also is easy to keep clean. The only negative is the units button on the bottom. I would prefer it being easier to reach when changing units. Sometimes I have to turn it around to find the very flush small area that I have to push. It's a very small nit to complain about. Highly recommend this scale.

This scale is beautiful to look at and is easy to use. However, I had no idea that this scale was rechargeable when I bought it. That would be fine if it was able to hold a charge for even a full week. However, it needs charging every five days. Worse, it does not warn about low battery ahead of time, so you are caught off guard when you are in a rush. You go to use it and it says "Lo" and then shuts off. I would return this scale but I've already returned two scales that were even crappier to Amazon. What has happened to product quality?

I love the look but the unit toggle is *underneath* the scale. So if you want to switch units, you need to slide your hand under the scale to find it. Why not just make it part of the main control panel?

They designed a pretty product with a lot of obvious shortcomings.
- Has a rechargable battery that you juice up with a USB cable. No warning when the battery gets low. You just go to use the scale and there is no power. And you have to charge it before you can use it again. You cannot use it while charging.
- Top is a nice glass piece, but the rest is the cheapest lightest lowest quality plastic you can imagine.
- Headline says ".1-gram accuracy". What? It doesn't have a tenths decimal place. And the accuracy is mid at best. The value only moves in 2 or 3 gram increments. It's not precise enough to change by just 1 gram. Let alone 0.1 grams.

It felt like a bait and switch the moment I opened it. I should have sent it back right then. I guess Zwilling is a trash tier brand now. This product is so bad I'll actively avoid zwilling for the rest of my life.

Pros:

- Looks great. Feels like an Apple product.

- Big surface area makes it easy to weigh larger bowls without obscuring the digits.

Cons:

- Accuracy is questionable. It doesn’t appear to be off by much but, for example, it’s occasionally very difficult to tare to 0. It hops down to -1 or -2 even with no motion or other disturbance anywhere nearby.

- The power/tare button on the front is hard to see from above, has no tactile signature to help you find it without looking, and has no haptic feedback when you push it. It’s like just tapping anywhere else on the front edge. This is a very flawed design, in my opinion. The slightest touch will turn it on or switch between tare and total (and it’s annoying to have to touch multiple times to tare). I can’t tell if I sometimes miss the button entirely or the tap didn’t work.

- It feels both heavy and delicate. I don’t know for sure how sturdy it is but it doesn’t seem like it would survive even a short fall.

Ultimately it gets the job done but I don’t recommend it for anyone, unless you’re just looking for an attractive counter ornament.

I have purchased two of these scales. Mine I purchased 17 months ago. My wife’s was bought about 6 weeks ago. They are identical and mine worked so well that my wife wanted one the same. In the time I’ve had mine, she’s worn out two cheaper scales. This scale os very easy to operate and comes with rechargeable batteries. The only thing that might disrupt operation is a failure to keep the scale charged. I’ve taken to recharging mine weekly. This ensures that it is always good to go. I like how a full size dinner plate can fit on the scale with room to see the numbers. All told, we are both very happy with this scale.
