I'm surprised at how quiet this lawn mower is, when I'm used to the roar of a gas-powered mower.The handle folds down too, which makes it quite compact for storage, and is light enough for me to pick up with one hand.The battery lasts about 1 hour of continuous use, which is typically enough for me.But, if I let the grass get a little too long, and I leave the blade height at a lower setting, then it can stall out from not having enough power. In those cases, I have to raise the blade height so it's not cutting through as much grass.

This was a great purchase! I couldn’t be happier. It works beautifuly. I cut about half of my lawn with one charge. I’ll go out in the morning to finish up. The battery lasted 40 minutes without slowing down at all. It takes an hour for the battery to recharge. This mower starts by pressing and holding down the button then pulling back the hand bar. So simple. It’s very easy to handle. It mows a nice wide path like my gas mower does. It’s lighter and maneuvers so easily. I’m a 65 year old woman with arthritis but I can easily use this by myself. . I’m using this without the grass catcher bag. It has the option to use the mulcher which is already attached and the grass does not discharge from the side or the back. I’m very pleased. 😃 Cool machine!

This mower is the second one we’ve purchased. After using it for three years in our Florida yard and being very happy with it we purchased a second one for our summer place. It’s a big property with some tough clumps of wild grasses and weeds, but it gets the job done. Easy for this 68 year old woman to maneuver. It usually needs to be charged twice to finish the whole two hour job, depending on how high/wet the grass is. I actually enjoy mowing now.

For the price point this product is exceptional in every way possible. If you are looking at higher priced mowers you are wasting your money unless you need to have self-propelled but this thing is so light it pushes with the greatest of ease, there's no need for it, a child could use it. Skil definitely did their homework on this one. This is my first battery operated mower and I am sold. No more mechanical issues after being stored for the Winter or running out of gas at the most inconvenient times. I bough the Skil Trimmer and Blower too and they are exceptional as well. This machine is really easy to use. Going from the city to suburbia, I needed to have a cordless mower, and my family is trying to do its part to save the planet… so here we are!

I got the mower and the combo blower/weedwhacker so I could alternate batteries.

My yard is about 1/4 to 1/3 of an acre, and I can finish with one battery. I can swap to do the driveway with the blower and whack weeds on the hillside. Perfect system for these tools!

Was on the fence between this and the Kobalt or Ryobi, but I have NO REGRETS!

Plus the quiet sound and not walking through exhaust really makes a difference!
