I HOPED this was "the one"!!
I've been on a 3-month quest of finding & trying low carb/grain-free granolas to accompany my family's nightly treat of greek yogurt and berries. After about a dozen different brands & flavors, I ordered a 3-pack of the Vanilla Almond Butter Keto Granola Clusters... And boy, oh boy!! I was so pleased with the taste and nutritional profile of it that I moved up my next Subscribe & Save order to arrive a month earlier than planned.Once the new order of 3 arrived, I excitedly opened the first pack to enjoy a few clusters prior to fixing the usual yogurt bowl, and I was immediately confused... not only were there not many "clusters" to speak of in the bag, the taste was just... off. I almost thought I had received the wrong flavor and variety (I've also tried the coconut keto clusters). Seeing that it was in fact the Vanilla I had ordered, I tried another bite and once again was taken aback. The granola simply tasted "burnt." I opened the other 2 bags to try and it was the same awful taste.Luckily my family still had an unopened bag from my first order, so I tried it and the difference was obvious - that bag still had great freshness and flavor! Turns out this one was produced on likely the same day but an earlier batch.Essentially, had this second order been my initial one, I would *never* had reordered and kept my subscribe and save active. I contacted Purely Elizabeth's customer service and the reply was essentially: "Thank you for letting us know the granola tasted burnt. Contact Amazon for a refund, bye." Gee, thanks.While the photo here doesn't capture much of a visual difference between the first & second orders, I can honestly only describe the second batch as "extra crispy" and not enjoyable at all. I've since canceled future orders as I'm not confident I'll receive a batch like the first. Seems the company is having quality control issues.I truly wanted this granola to be THE ONE I had been searching for my nightly keto treat... but I'm just left disappointed.UPDATE! I really wanted to give this ONE more chance... so I reordered the 3-pack and prayed this batch would be different. Welp.... the granola I ordered that was delivered Feb. 7, 2023 ALL had a Best By date of APRIL 2022! Come on! Does no one do quality control? So, the final verdict is a big NO, and the original 3 star review is now 1. Bummer. 👎
