It turned out to be worth every penny because 2 months after the factory warranty ended, the espresso machine broke. I filed a claim with Asurion online and the next day UPS dropped off the return shipping label because I didn't have the package ready for return. After returning the espresso machine, they send me a gift card right away for the full purchased price. I am very satisfied with their service and plan to use them again in the future.

I had a coffee maker fail after 3yrs. I had forgotten I even purchased it but when I looked up my previous order, it was listed underneath. I literally initiated the claim right there. I ordered a new one and boxed up the old per their instructions. Within an hour of ups picking it up I had my purchase price refunded on the site. The only thing that looked like a hassle was boxing it up to ship back but I bought the same exact model again. When the new one showed up, I used that box and all the packaging for the return. All in all, surprisingly easy.
