What happens when you want more in life than just running the bases?

You hang out at home plate and stop playing the field.

Something about her pulls me in. I want to get to know her. I want a chance to show her I'm more than just my career, my paycheck. I'm the man for her. I know I am. No matter how much she resists this connection between us. It doesn't change the fact that she’s my grand slam.

I just so happen to come across this book. Completely by accident. I was purchasing another book and this one was in the recommended section. I am not on FB and her newsletter doesn't come out anymore, so I'm not privy to her releases. Tempting Tatum will ALWAYS be my absolute favorite (sorry got side tracked).

This book was the SWEETEST READ EVER! I haven't enjoyed a book this much in a while. I always know everything Kaylee writes will be wonderful. I read about a book a day so I read a lot. And this one did not disappoint. I absolutely loved it. It was fantastic. Charming. Heart warming. It really got my heart going. Easton is a complete gentleman. He is definitely husband material. I loved how Easton with Paisley (Larissa's daughter). He was a true gem. I loved that he was a baseball player (I am a baseball lover so this one pulls on my heart). I also enjoyed the baseball aspect. It was a part of the story but it was not overwhelming. It didn't interfere with the story. I loved Larissa and Easton together. I enjoyed the chase. I enjoyed how he wouldn't give up on her. He was truly magnificent. Magical. I was impressed when Paisley asked Easton to be her daddy. I about lost it. How sweet was that? It really got to me. I think I cried for about 5 minutes. Larissa was a single, strong, young mother. Trying to make it on her own. I liked her immensely. Easton and Larissa just made sense.

The downfalls for me where the lack of intimate moments. I thought there should have been a few more added. And the biggest issue I had was with Larissa and Steve (Larissa's late husband) and their relationship. Larissa is only 22 with a 4 year old daughter. And she was married. Steve never met Paisley. He died before she was born so that means that Larissa was pregnant at 17. And married at 18. For me she needed to be a bit older. It would make the story make more sense. But this in no way hinders my review. Just an observation.

This was a really great read. I'd highly recommend!

This story was the cutest. Easton was phenomenal. The book was more that just his baseball career it was about showing how a real man cared for his new found family. How a little girl and her mom wound themselves so tight around his heart that he knew they were the loves of his life. He didn’t let them done. He stepped up and showered them with love. Larissa was a single mom filled with doubts and worry. At times it was dragged a bit in the book but overall it was a great story. I loved how the end of the book took you so far into the future. This definitely was a feel good nothing but love story.

Kaylee Ryan hit it out of the park with Beyond the Bases!

Easton Monroe is a professional baseball who wants more than a random hook up with some baseball groupie. He wants someone who he can come home to after practice, after a home game and after spending time on the road. Larissa is a young hard working woman. She in school and close to finishing her accounting degree and works in a restaurant which leads to little free time for other activities. Her best friend, Chloe, convinces her to go out one night and that one night is the start of something new. Larissa and Chloe walk into the bar and they are spotted by Ethan, who instantly knows he found exactly what he was looking for. What he didn't know is that it would not be an easy task to get the attention of Larissa.

I absolutely loved Easton from the very first moment. He isn't a player, he is sweet, he loves with every ounce of his soul. Compared to other baseball sports romances he isn't that stereotypical alpha male. You can't not fall in love with him throughout the story. Larissa is just amazing, she is strong and she is determined to be the best person and role model she can be. She doesn't have it easy between work, school and taking care of her 4 (almost 5) year old daughter, Paisley, her hands are a little full.

The chemistry between Easton and Larissa was fantastic, but the connection between Easton and Paisley just melts your heart. Paisley absolutely stole the show. She is such a lively and smart little girl and her scenes were honestly the best things to read. From the moment her and Easton met he was head over heels for his little Princess P.

Beyond the Bases is one of the best books I have read in 2018. There is NO drama, every single character in this book is well written. The story is sweet and will melt your heart. It is the perfect summer read for anyone! Plus, we got 4 (yes 4) amazing epilogues! I hope that we get more of Easton, Larissa, Paisley and the rest of the Monroe family in future!

If you’re looking for a heartwarming story with a super satisfying HEA this is it! This is seriously one of the absolute cutest books I’ve read. I legit sad cried and happy cried so much. Easton and Larissa’s story was so sweet and touching. Sometimes you just need to read about a guy like Easton who is not only a hot baseball player but a true gentleman.

Over the fast life of being a celebrity baseball player, Easton is looking for something or someone real. Enter Larissa, a single mom to the cutest 4 year old girl. Larissa suffers from anxiety (may not be diagnosed but I have been this mom) due to loss. She is scared to open herself up again. Easton totally wins her over by showing her and her daughter (Paisley) true and unconditional love. Melted my ❤️. I can’t wait to read about Paisley in #beyondthegame coming 11/9

“Tell me what we are.” His lips venture across my cheek and down my neck. “Tell me we’re official.” “We don’t have to be to do this,” I remind him. He stops, pulling away his eyes to find mine. “Yeah, in fact, we do. I’m not playing games here, Larissa. I meant every word I said. I want to take us beyond the bases, baby.”

I just loved this story and had to keep reading until it was done. Paisley is such a sweetheart and I will admit I shed a few tears reading this. It kept the emotions high all the way through especially where Easton’s background is so similar to Clarissa and Paisley

Beyond the Bases has been on my tbr forever, and I finally got around to reading it, devouring it in one sitting. This book is so sweet, full of swoon worthy moments, a little steam, and some really loving feelings.

Larissa’s life is hectic, a single mother putting herself through school as well as working in a restaurant. One night, her friend persuades her to go out and they meet Easton, the first baseman for the Tennessee Blaze, who is instantly drawn to her. But Larissa keeps him at arm’s length, not wanting to complicate her life further, even though she’s attracted to him. Easton know that this woman is not one he wants to give up and pursues her. When he finds out about her daughter, Paisley, he’s even more smitten, as Paisley instantly has him wrapped around her little finger. Will he be able to prove to Larissa that he’s in it for the long run, and that he sees a life with her beyond the bases?

Romances like this have been done countless times, but Larissa and Easton’s romance was so cute, I couldn’t help but love it. I loved Easton’s determination, he could read between the lines of Larissa’s rejection, and knew he needed to show her that he wasn’t there for a short-term fling, he wanted something permanent. He knew that he had to take it slow to win her round, and also show that his love wasn’t just for her, but Paisley too. His bond with that little girl was so beautiful, I loved their relationship. Larissa had been through so much for a young single mum, she was the one doing the worrying, and wasn’t used to having anyone worry about her. She could see herself falling quickly and hard for Easton but thought her baggage would put him off so pushed him away, but she slowly put her guard down and let him into her heart. She was such a great mother, and the way they came together to be a real family was amazing.

This book was such a heart-warming read, about how if you open yourself up to a second chance at happiness, then who knows what might be out there waiting for you. I loved every page!
