    The Perfect Stroller

    The Perfect Stroller
I'm going to write the review I wish someone would have written for me when I first set out to buy strollers. In short, you're going to need three strollers. Get ready to invest $500 in strollers, and call it good to go. Any less, and you'll get what you pay for. Or worse yet, try a bunch of mid-priced strollers, and still not end up with what works. The first stroller you'll need is an infant seat carrier that is incredibly lightweight and easy to fold apart and back together. I can't imagine what I would have done without my Baby Trend Snap-N-Go EX Universal Infant Car Seat Carrier. When they are tiny, you're going to spend all sorts of time lugging that infant carrier around. You literally need something that basically falls right open to toss that heavy seat in and run errands. I used this thing constantly, and it was well worth the investment.I tried other similar infant carrier holder/carseat combinations such as the Graco Modes 3 Lite DLX Stroller, Includes Reversible Seat, Pierce and Evenflo Urbini Reversi Lightweight Stroller, but they both turned out to be a huge waste of money. The Graco reversible only works with their propriety travel system car seat, and the wheels are still plastic! No matter how tempting it may seem, don't settle for a regular sized plastic wheeled stroller no matter how many gadgets it might have. The Evenflo was also great in theory, but a waste of money. Being able to interchange the carseat, and flip the baby forward and backward just does not matter all that much at all. Instead, you REALLY just need a very lightweight and portable universal infant carrier. That's all I used for the first six months of my daughter's life, because she was so little. The next stroller you are going to need is a good jogging stroller. I love my JOOVY Zoom 360 Ultralight. In theory, you can get a carseat adapter for it. It has big wheels for walking off the postpartum weight, but it is still pretty compact and lightweight. I would get the Joovy Zoom 360 Ultralight Jogging Stroller, Large Canopy, Lightweight Jogger, Extra Large Air Filled Tires instead of the original ZOOM for sure. It is absolutely worth it to get the rain cover and the bigger canopy. There is nothing worse than going on a walk with the sun in your child's eyes most of the time. That said, you're still going to need something more compact than your jogging stroller. Don't fall for the trick of getting a regular sized stroller instead. That's a huge waste of money. You already have your jogging stroller, and an infant seat carrier. When they are less than six months old, those two should do the trick. Once they get a little older, you'll need to replace that infant seat carrier with an umbrella stroller.I tried the Cosco Umbrella Stroller with Canopy stroller. Another giant waste of money. I took it through airport security, and my daughter literally fell out of it onto the ground! I left it at my destination, and opted to carry her back through security the other way. Every parent thinks they need a 'regular' stroller, but what you actually need a shopping/airport/errand running stroller for your trunk. The jogging stroller can live in your garage for when you want to get your walk/run in. This second stroller needs to live in your car where you used to keep your infant carrier. It needs to have a five point harness, but it also needs a great canopy. That's my biggest complaint about the Zoom Ultralight 360: the canopy is worthless. It makes a huge difference. You also need it to be super compact. A stroller that is for the purpose of lugging around your baby needs to be small. Trust me, you'll pay all sorts of money for a 'regular' stroller, and it will sit there in your garage unused. Either you will use your jogging stroller to power walk/run, or you'll need something for on the run. That's really it.I HIGHLY recommend Joovy Kooper Stroller, Lightweight Stroller, Compact Fold with Tray. It is the quintessential alternative to a 'regular' stroller. It fits in my subcompact Scion XD no problem, and I just push the button to unfold it in an instant. It folds right back up no problem. The trifold takes up less space than a cheap umbrella stroller. It glides through tiny aisles. There is nothing worse than trying to push a GIANT stroller in any store. This is the solution. It is way more than an umbrella stroller, but way more helpful than a 'normal' stroller. You don't need your stroller to make your baby recline, or turn around. You just need a place for a snack, a cup, a water bottle, and some shopping items below the cart. The wheels are big enough, and even though they are plastic, they are only going to be for running in and out of stores. You'll use your jogging stroller for gravel, cement, rough roads, etc. This just needs to get you in and out of the coffee shop without needing someone to help you hold the door. And there you have it! This is the review I wish someone had written for me specifically when I set out on this incredibly expensive journey of finding a perfect stroller!

So, first of all let me tell you I looked at soooooooo many strollers, it was exhausting!
I have been using this stroller for awhile now, so I can give you my honest review of it.
I was given a Bob stroller (a great stroller and must have for serious outings/hiking/walking/running).
But I wanted another stroller that was light and easy to maneuver around, especially for quick trips or a short walk, but even for a zoo day too. I also wanted features of a good sun cover, basket storage, and a tray. This stroller is EVERYTHING!!!
It is super easy to maneuver anywhere, it's lightweight but definitely NOT cheaply made. Handles bumps in the road with ease, I never get stuck. One finger easy turning. Seriously fantastic.
The sun cover has absolutely AMAZING coverage, with a a perfect peek through area to watch the baby/toddler.
The tray is fantastic!!!! Easy to open just one side, easy to take completely on/off, easy to clean and folds with the stroller!
The backseat adjustment is easy to use and allows any position you want.
Brakes are secure and simple to use, located in a convenient area as well.
Seat belts are very secure from the child opening them....but easy to use for the adult (as I find some were horrible to try to open and close).
Handle bar is nicely padded, comfortable to use.
    The storage is VERY roomy.
It has a nice little pouch to put your phone and small things in.
There is a cup holder, but it is for lighter cups (not your hydro flask).
Folding is a dream, as well as lifting to put anywhere...and reopening too.
I bought the green color, which is beautiful in person (the video has the more accurate color...the picture on the website looks terrible).
Every time I used this stroller, I'd make my husband laugh...I kept repeating "this stroller is amazing."
Now I used my Bob stroller for the infant car seat, so I can not comment on the use of that, although I really imagine it's pretty great with this stroller too.
I can't say enough good things about it.
    It's a fantastic stroller, a great buy!!!

Hey there, new parent. Let me help you out here.

2014 I got a Graco double stroller for my twins— a nightmare. Big, heavy, clunky, needed both hands to fold and unfold. Crappy canopies and storage. I found a Joovy double stroller on sale, and never looked back. The biggest basket and canopy on the market at the time. It traveled with us to several states, on planes, Disney, and held up to daily use until the twins turned five.

Cue 2023, surprise! Another baby! I bought into the hype for another new Graco travel system— the kind that has a bassinet and other stroller modes. I LOATHED this stroller. Sooo heavy and bulky. Impossible to fold and unfold easily.

“Why didn’t I just get a Joovy again?!?”
So I found this Joovy Kooper with the car seat adapter. This thing… THIS THING. It’s so incredibly lightweight and sturdy. At 5’2”, it’s the perfect height for me, I can actually see over it with the car seat installed. I have arthritis in my spine and herniated discs in my neck but I can still lift, fold and unfold with one hand and with no discomfort. You can steer it with one hand. You don’t have to remove the bar or tray to fold it. It takes up minimal room when folded— it came in such a small box I thought that it needed assembled. Nope! Just folded! The basket is a little underwhelming but all of the other pros blow that con away. Huge canopy. The seat lays *so close* to flat that I would have had no qualms using this when my now 6 month old was smaller if needed.

I did buy an additional cup holder/phone holder, and an organizer to hang from the bar.

I hope this review saves others from the big travel system clunky strollers!!

Once they get a little older, you'll need to replace that infant seat carrier with an umbrella stroller.

I tried the Cosco Umbrella Stroller with Canopy stroller. That's really it.

I HIGHLY recommend Joovy Kooper Stroller, Lightweight Stroller, Compact Fold with Tray.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Perfect Stroller
Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2021

I used this thing constantly, and it was well worth the investment.

I tried other similar infant carrier holder/carseat combinations such as the Graco Modes 3 Lite DLX Stroller, Includes Reversible Seat, Pierce and Evenflo Urbini Reversi Lightweight Stroller, but they both turned out to be a huge waste of money.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the best stroller I have seen, but
Reviewed in the Netherlands on July 6, 2024
The overall value of this stroller is crazy. The material is of reasonably good quality, the aluminum frame is quite compact, lightweight and sturdy, the seat is comfortable for baby and the 160 degree recline is great for naps on the go, the included sun shade is super useful etc. For the current price (around €100) I don't think a better option can be found, so if you are on a tight budget for a reliable compact stroller and you are past the newborn stage I would not look any further.

However there are some things we found over time to be cumbersome or would be nice to have, even if it meant the price is a bit higher:

    1) It should have a bumper bar for the baby. It already has the slots for the tray, it would be so easy to make a bumper bar available for safety and comfort, even if it had to be purchased separately.
    2) It would be the absolute perfect stroller if the seat could turn around to face the parent.
    3) The storage space (zipper) in the back was removed for the European version. Not sure why as this would be quite useful to store small items during the walk.
    4) The seat structure is made from a relatively cheap corrugated plastic sheet material, probably for cost purposes. It's ok while it's in one piece but it can break or bend too much during folding or cleaning - In that case it is quite difficult to repair.
    5) The recline function is great as it is but we find that the seat could be a bit more adjustable - somewhere closer to 90 degrees for sitting up straight, especially when using with the tray (eating).

This stroller ticks all the boxes for me.
Its lightweight design makes it easy to maneuver. Folding and unfolding are effortless.
I love the tray instead of the traditional bar. It's such a brilliant idea!
The extra-large canopy provides protection against both the sun's rays and light rain.
The Joovy Kooper Pram offers excellent value for money.
