This is overall a great hose nozzle. My family isn't particularly delicate on things like this, and apparently it's not quite as "indestructible" as it claims. A little under a year into owning it, the sides and lever to turn it on exploded out and won't go back together properly. It now just pours water out the sides instead of the nozzle.I contacted AquaJoe (SnowJoe really) about a warranty replacement. They were helpful except that they don't have the nozzle in stock. They say it'll be 3-4 weeks or possibly longer. Since that doesn't really work for me (or anyone...) they eventually agreed to send me a similar model they do have in stock (AJHN104) that they said should be here in a week.

I’ve bought many nozzles over the years and unless they are solid brass, they’ve only lasted a season, even if brought inside during winter. Mostly, they leak from the body, squirting water down my arm. Or they don’t click to settings on the dial, or they aren’t able to be tightened properly, even with new washers. These weren’t dollar store type nozzles, either. The name brands and prices didn’t seem to matter. They all failed rather fast despite normal use and care.

I’ve just received this nozzle and it’s heavy duty. It’s easy to control the spray and it doesn’t leak. I coupled it with a Flexzilla hose, and it feels like I’m in heaven. The controls over the spray intensity are great. I water many (over 30) large containers daily. They all have different needs. It’s nice to be able to control on the fly the way water is delivered. Trees and basil seedlings are way different in their water requirements! This nozzle gives me easy control.

I will update this if any problems occur, but I can tell this is a very sturdy, well designed nozzle.

This hand-held hose spray nozzle has a good selection of useful spray patterns. We have tried 5 different brands / designs of this type hose nozzle, and my wife likes this one the best. Received it on the date promised. Rugged metal construction (main body / housing), as advertised. No problems with it yet. Others have complained about the plastic parts that comprise the side cap and nozzle control valve mechanism, saying this plastic cap falls out, cannot be re-installed, and that this makes the nozzle useless due to water leakage. We have not experienced this. (yet) The only complaint I have is that I believe the design would be improved if the thumb control for the spray volume (on/off / amount of water sprayed) worked in the opposite direction. It seems more natural to me, and I find myself wanting to operate the thumb control this way -- if Up were On, and Down were Off. Instead, Down is On, and Up is Off. But all of the different brands / models of this type hose nozzle are designed / made this way. **** I STAND CORRECTED: I discovered today, as I was using this spray nozzle again, that the thumb control DOES work the way I intuitively would expect it to work -- UP IS ON, and DOWN IS OFF!! Nice!! I was apparently confusing the way the Aqua Joe spray nozzle works, with the way one (or all) of its competitor thumb-control spray nozzles works. For the competitor nozzles we have purchased (to try them out and decide on the best nozzle), DOWN is ON and UP is OFF -- counter-intuitive / confusing. So, because I goofed, and left a comment above for an improvement which is not needed, because the product already works the way I suggested, I am now changing my rating of this product from a 5 to a 6 (stars). :-)

The first thing you notice about this is it's heavier than any others. I'm not sure if that's really a good thing or not, but I guess it's probably durable. It also has a nice spray pattern, with two different shower settings, one that's very wide, and one from the center that's good for potted plants.

However, there is one thing missing, in my opinion... there's no "Full" setting, for when you might want maximum flow similar to a plain hose. It may not matter to most people, but I have some small trees and shrubs that I water now and then, and need more water, but not so much that I want to leave it running while I'm away, and not often enough for most irrigation controllers.

So, only needs a quick review - screwed it onto my hose, tested it out, loved it immediately. Of most importance to me was how well it worked with a low flow hose - it's great! I have the AquaJoe metal, no tangle hose, which I also love, but it's low flow and you need to select attachments that give an extra boost. This nozzle does it. Probably it's even more powerful with a full size hose. Suits my needs just fine. The dial is clearly marked, clicks in place, plenty of options for spray pattern, throttle very handy and easy to use, it looks good, too. It's heavy and sturdy but no one will have trouble handling it. No leaks. Recommended!

Stop looking. This is a quality product. Immediately noticed how heavy it was and to me that normally indicates less plastic and more metal. When I hooked it up there we no leaks and the valve worked smoothly. The spray patters are perfect with no wacky streams shooting off in odd directions. The mister setting is fantastic with a very fine spray that truly IS a mist! The selector turns smoothly and like I said earlier, doesn’t leak. Of course time will tell but I suspect that as long as it isn’t abused, I.e. tossed into the dirt, drug around by the hose, run over by the car, it should last a very long time. Perfect garden nozzle. Would highly recommend.

My old one broken down and badly leaked after two years usage and then I found this replacement which is NOT cheap and a bit at the expensive side actually. There are just too many looks fancy ones in the market just less than 1/2 price... However I want a durable one that can last for years not a annually replacements anymore.

It's SO heavy and so well built and finished. I believe the full metal construction will be long lasting!
