Pro tip: For optimal loop-de-loops, throw the plane slightly downward. How many flips can you get?

To maximize flight time, use in a wide open space like a field or park. A little wind won't hurt!

Made of robust Styrofoam, the Terra Kids glider is easy to assemble and holds up well to crash landings and stunts.

Simply move the horizontal stabilizer (rear wing) to the upper slot for boomerang function and the lower slot for straight flight. Children will enjoy applying decals to customize their plane.

Makes for a great beginner RC plane, too
Like most reviews state, this is a great chucking plane. It bounces back after hard hits, virtually no damage. But it also makes a great flying RC plane. Chuck glider RC conversions are really popular, and this plane make a great platform for that. Some useful information for converting: the plane as a complete glider weighs 90 grams. There is a 22g ball bearing in the foam cockpit. The foam front "wheel" pulls out, the plastic windshield is glued to the foam cockpit and easily comes off, and the foam cockpit pulls off; all three are lightly glued. With the ball bearing, "wheel" and foam cockpit discarded, the plane weighs just 60g. I cut and elevator, controlled by a 2g servo, and ailerons (where the flaps would be), and connected them to a 3.7g servo. I used a FlySky transmitter and 3 channel receiver. Motors are 8520 coreless (I think Racerstar), one clockwise and one counterclockwise rotation, with 65mm kingkong props. They are connected in parallel to a 4amp BRUSHED motor ESC, and mounted just slightly downward with . The motors produce about 56g of thrust and the completed plane weighs 130g all up weight with a double wide 600mah 1S battery. I cut the "wheel" hole longer to the nose of the plane to get the battery weight forward, keeping the CG where it was as a chuck glider (at the front tips of the wing). I put vinyl striping tape on the wing and tail edges to help protect them. Added a 2mm carbon rod to the wing to strengthen it. Two small screws hold the plastic windshield on, with a gap at the front and back of the windshield for airflow to the ESC.A better build: I should have added ailerons to the wing instead of cutting them into the wing. The wing is now fragile at the inside aileron cut; it has cracked on hard crashes and had to be re-glued. The hardware and wire extensions I used were too heavy. I probably could have saved another 20g. As is, it flies great, will do loops all day, and flies for 15 minutes on one battery. It can't do rolls though, too heavy. Really takes a beating.

If you too are tired of 2020 and the fact that more people will die of Covid than WW2, that we still don’t nationwide testing, that the sunshine didn’t make the virus go away, and our country’s leadership is endorsing refried beans while our economy is in shambles, you can get almost a 30 minutes of fun flying this great toy with someone you love. Or someone you hate for that matter. The plane works well regardless of your feelings toward your spouse. It’s very sturdy, and light, so you don’t have to worry about being injured and trying to debate whether to visit the ER, since you lost your insurance and now have a $5000 deductible plan. My six year old loves it and it gets him outside for a bit, so he isn’t watching Netflix 16 hours a day anymore. This plane also works well if you don’t believe in viruses or wearing masks. The plane will NOT infringe upon your constitutional rights to breath, as our forefathers clearly spelled out on Facebook in 1776.

Since My son will be remote learning kindergarten next week, this will also be considered ground school for one of his classes.

We always try to find a plane for our son with autism to play with. This is the first one we’ve found in the past 4yrs that hasn’t broken after a few throws, flies far with a light toss, and has held up well for weeks now! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the stickers are pretty ugly on it.

Eazy to assemble and is a terrific glider. I purchased one glider for my grandson who is 5, and have since purchased three more for my other grandkids for a total of four . Fun Fun Fun! I would recommend flying in a large field or park as it really soars with a little wind with many WOWS from the launchers.
