My Week With The Bad Boy proves once again why Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish are a force to be reckoned with. This dynamic writing duo have knocked it out of the park with this heartfelt and witty romance. Having read their books under their pen name Kennedy Fox, I was very excited to read this book after they announced their new series. They certainly didn't disappoint! Their impeccable writing and riveting storyline made this story hard to put down. Nothing could prepare my heart for the emotions this book would ignite and the unforgettable Ethan Rochester. As much as I loved my boys from the Checkmate series, Ethan has completely stolen my heart from the first page to the last. Ethan is not only smoking hot, but he's cocky, funny and undoubtedly lovable!
My heart definitely went out for Ethan especially after finding out the tragedies and tremendous heartache that he has endured. It truly made his character and journey even more endearing and heartbreaking. I loved seeing how these two broken souls could come together and work through the struggles of their pasts. So make sure to keep a tissue box by because this story is a definite tearjerker. I also couldn't get enough of the dynamic between Ethan and Vada. The hilarious banter between these two made for some highly entertaining moments. Not to mention the sexual tension and innuendo between these characters really helped balance out the drama and internal issues that these characters were dealing with. Ethan and Vada's story was so much more than a typical romance but a story of courage and strength against the struggles that we sometimes face in our own lives.
I cannot recommend this mesmerizing love story enough! I must say that I'm very excited for the next standalone in this series and expect it to be another highly addictive series by this talented duo. My Week With The Bad Boy is a must read story that will grip you from the beginning and never let go. You definitely do not miss out on the highly delectable and swoon worthy Ethan Rochester!

I was really excited to jump into My Week with the Bad Boy by Brooke Cumberland and Lyra Parish because I have loved every book they have written together. Let me tell you, I was not disappointed. It was such a light and fun read. Don’t get me wrong, these authors do not do easy, so there is some angst, but really just a good read you can get lost in.

Vada writes romance for a living, though her love life is not so perfect. She never seems to pick the right guy for herself. As she tends to keep to herself, she decides she needs to get away to work on her writing. But what she did not expect was to meet Ethan Rochester.

Ethan is the epitome of the bad boy. He is sexy, appealing and charming and so very cocky. But as we learn more about Ethan, we understand him so much more. Because of his past and how it affected him, he tends to stays away from relationships. I loved Ethan. I loved his banter, his innuendos and loved him even more when we really got to know him.

Vada meets Ethan when she rents his cottage, where he lives right next door. Their interactions with each other and their back-and-forth are hilarious. They are both generally closed off, but seem to love to rile each other up. I loved these two characters so much and it was fun to see them grow close.

I have read every book these authors have written and they tend to be full of romance and humor and though this had both of these, it also had sad undertones. Ethan’s history will tug at your heart. But overall I loved this friends-to-lovers romance, though it is a bit on the insta-side, and cannot wait to read more from these authors!

This is an enemy to lovers’ story—Vada needs to get out of the city to work on her book and she chooses to head to South Carolina , and to a small cottage that she has rented from a man online. When she gets there she meets Ethan. She didn’t expect this hot, sexy man to open the door. Ethan is the ultimate bad boy in his past but now he makes his money creating beautiful pottery. He is an internet hit but his past is painful and very sad. Vada’s hasn’t had an easy time in her life and when these two meet , its electric. Vada has this mistaken impression about Ethan and that causes friction between them which means they do NOT get along at first! But there is this intense attraction that is there, this connection. Ethan is a smart man with a very sharp tongue, one he wants to use on Vada. Vada didn’t fall prey to Ethan’s cockiness or his sexual banter, like most women. She called him out, and set him straight. I loved that about her, how she stood up for herself when he was acting like a brat. I will say there were several scenes in this book that were super HAWT, I mean blazing sexually hot. You will know when you read it and I loved that the authors went balls to the walls with the characters and the sex in this book. I enjoyed it and I know other readers will too. Also, the emotions in this story took over – there are secrets and deceit that is between them and when it all comes to light, what will the fallout be? Will they have a resolution, a HEA or will their relationship, as it was come to a conclusion and end forever… Trust me, this is a story that you do not want to miss !!!
