I've purchased two of these - one about 5 years ago and the other was a Christmas present for my sister purchased in November '23. The one purchased earlier came with a nice blade guard that mounts securely and has protected the blade for five years and helped retain the factory edge. The cutter purchased this past November didn't include the guard.The guard is excellent feature and was disappointed it was not included as this is $30+ pizza cutter and including it or even charging an extra few $ would still give this cutter a 5-star rating on value. The guard has preserved the edge despite sub-optimum storage.

Updated: The seller finally replied and stated that the wheel no longer comes with a blade cover. I returned my wheel for a refund, since the main reason for getting this wheel was the cover. Also noticed they almost doubled the price from what I paid.

The wheel itself it very nice - good weight, seems like it would work fine. But it did not come with the plastic wheel protector as shown in the picture. All I got was a flimsy plastic covering the wheel - the kind of thing that all new items come with. It is not something that you can put on again after using to protect the wheel and your fingers in the drawer. The picture clearly shows that I should have been delivered two items - the wheel and the hard plastic cover. I have contacted the seller but besides acknowledging my request they have done nothing to correct the problem of the missing piece. I would return it and try again but I have no way of knowing if I would get the proper two items next time either. Bad customer service is what is driving this subpar rating.

i bought this after returning my impulse purchase ,of a piece of garbage cutter. beware, there are many of these type of sub-standard cutters. do yourself a favor and just fork out the money for a quality cutter. this one is the real deal. a great design too.. the axel of the cutter functions as a hook to grab the oven rack with one hand , so you don't have to go through the trouble of putting on a pair of oven mitts. i love it.

If you have been unhappy with your pizza cutter just get rid of it. I kept mine way to long. LOL This pizza cutter is heavy duty. Not like the one sitting in your drawer at home all thin and light. :) This one has a nice thick blade and it has an oven rack pull knob. I know it's only a pizza cutter but I love this one.

In December 2019 I bought this pizza cutter as a gift. It came with the protective blade cover as pictured with the pizza cutter. IT'S A GREAT PIZZA CUTTER and when you have the cover it's a great protective cover. It's advertised to have this cover "included cover keeps sharp blade protected in storage". I ordered one for myself recently and it arrived without the cover (thus my 2 star rating) I contacted the seller but no answer. (considered reducing to a 1 Star rating) I thought I'd try ordering it again to see if maybe my order was a fluke. NOPE! second order came without the protective cover. THIS IS A DEAL BREAKER ON TWO ACCOUNTS: First that it's advertised as having a protective cover and SECOND, the seller failed to respond to my inquiries. I can find this pizza cutter elsewhere along with the protective cover. I'M RETURNING BOTH OF MY ORDERS.
