There are so many look-alike instant read thermometers that I was worried by my wife researched these and asked for this one. It seems to be very good quality.
We have not had it officially calibrated but seems accurate.

A bit pricey, but I luv it!
Neither my oven or grill have built-in thermometer. This gem takes much of the guess work out of cooking steaks medium rare and helps ensure pork chops, chicken and brisket are not over cooked. A bit pricy, but I luv it! Magnet attaches to side of frig for ease of access for indoor cooking. Bright colors makes thermometer quickly recognizable among array of grilling utensils when outdoors.

I love how fast this works. Not only that, but today at work, I accidentally dropped it into the fryer. I thought it was going to be ruined. A coworker pulled it out with metal tongs. It didn't melt at all! I didn't think it would work after that, but it was TOTALLY fine. I checked it in ice water and it registered quickly at 32 degrees! I'd say it was worth every penny!!!

I started with one of the probes with the display at the end. These were tiny and hard to read. When searching for a replacement I saw these and liked the idea of a much larger display and a foldaway probe. It was 3 x times the price of my previous thermometer which still works but I ordered one and when it arrived I wasn't disappointed. It's so much easier to use and registers the temperature so quickly I can see which parts of a turkey aren't thawed or up to temperature as I push the probe in.
I tested it's accuracy using a glass of water with ice in it. As you can see from the photo it registers 0.4°C which is close enough for me.
The thermometer uses a CR2032 coin battery accessed from the back using a coin to open the cover.
