How many jobs can the Aerocart perform?

That depends on how many you can dream up. It starts with 8 configurations, though: Wheelbarrow, Hand Truck/Dolly, Extended Dolly, Bag Holder, Cylinder Holder, Rock and Plant Mover, and Trailer Mover.

How easy is it to convert between functions?

Easy. For Dolly mode, just slide the flap to the side and down. To switch from a Dolly to a Wheelbarrow, just pull the release knob on the side and unfold the legs. To use the Extended Dolly or Plant and Rock Movers, fold down the extension arms.

How does the Aerocart make the load feel lighter?

Physics and leverage and smart engineers. As a Wheelbarrow, the tub is set directly over the wheels for a perfectly balanced load. As a Dolly, the wheels shift forward, creating leverage, allowing you to move the load with ease.

How much weight can the Aerocart hold?

Up to 300 lbs in Wheelbarrow mode, up to 200 lbs as a Dolly, 80 lbs as a Rock or Plant Mover, 80 lbs as an Extended Dolly, 40 lbs as a Bag Holder, 80 lbs as a Cylinder Holder, and it can move trailers of up to 1000 lbs.

Is the Aerocart easy to assemble?

Yup. It takes less than 5 minutes and requires no tools. Insert the handles into the frame and lock them in. Slide the wheel shaft through the wheels. Insert the wheel shaft in the axle and clip in the shaft lock pin. That’s it.

I bought this contraption for 2 reasons. The first is evidenced by the photos I’ve attached. I’m not sure how heavy that rock was, but I need a shovel to pry the rock on the net and then pull it out of a 12” deep hole (12” paver for reference).This thing did it’s job almost perfectly (I’ll wrap up the “almost” at the end.Considering I have about 8-10 more of those large rocks to haul out of the ground, I’d say I’m already happy with my purchase.The second reason was I needed a wheel barrow for my small residential yard while I do a significant landscape/hard scape project. I knew with all the rocks I needed to move, I needed a steel tub. When I factored in the $120-200 on a decent wheelbarrow, this just seemed to make more sense.I did get the trolley attachment as I have a bunch of big rocks to move and figured the trolley would be easier. I’ll report back on that later.The wheelbarrow is alright. It’s small, but I get the purpose with the weight limitations. A single wheel, or even a close double wheel, is definitely easier to maneuver, especially on bumpy terrain. Again, for what I need, I think wrapping many tools into one purchase was a great idea.So the -1 star… it’s the wheels. I get the purpose of not using pneumatics, especially if you’re trying to keep scheduled maintenance tasks down. But these wheels are really only good over flat ground, especially with heavier loads.Pneumatics are cheaper and give you the “bounce” to help across bumpy terrain, but for the price I feel they should have went with a newer high density foam technology. I’m not sure what these are. They’re not really hard plastic, but not exactly like those never-flats you can buy.I may look around for some 3rd party wheels, but only if it’s easy. Like I said, this thing is a great tool and I am happy with the purchase.Better wheels/tires would warrant a 5-star.

Ok, let me see if I can clear up a few things. First off, after reading quite a few of the reviews, I "almost" cancelled my order thinking I was ordering some sort of Children;s PlaySchool wheel barrel toy. I couldn't have been more wrong.

Here's the unbiased truth on this cart. If you are a Construction Worker hauling bags of cement or really heavy materials in bulk, DO NOT purchase this item. This is for the typical home owner that not only needs a wheel barrel that is stable and easy on the back, but a tool that can also convert into something other than a wheel barrel like a dolly, plant lifter or stone hauler. I've had two back surgeries and even though I have healed up great, this little gem takes all the weight and I am no longer limited when it comes to landscaping.

Sure, the actual cavity could have been a bit bigger but I think the designers looked at the average amount of material people actually put in the "well" area and settled on an ergonomic design that really takes the stress off your back. I am 6'7" and the way this thing is built with the handles tilted upward, makes lifting and letting the bucket / well down with ease. I've had bags of stone, sand, wood chips and such in it and it has plenty of room to get the job done safely. The metal is rugged and thick and I can already tell this unit is going to last a long time. Sure, my other wheel barrel was HUGE but since it was so big, I couldn't fill it to capacity without worrying about the darn thing tipping on me. As a former power lifter it is not a matter of strength but a matter of stability over terrain when in use.

I read on one of the reviews that the bearings came off the plastic wheels? As a former engineer, you would of had to seriously overloaded this cart or tried to use the trailer hitch ball on something with a monster tongue weight to dislodge the bearings. The way I see it, using this cart in a "normal" fashion will provide years of care free use. The fit, finish, and quality of this cart is great, Yes, I am sure that occasionally there may be a defect from the factory for some people but when I looked my cart over in great detail, I found NO faults whatsoever. Even a brand new 100 million dollar aircraft has an occasional fault here and there, show me one product in history that hasn't.

Truth is folks, this little cart is great and I was even able to hang it on the wall in my garage using the hole on the dolly tongue.Took all of ten minutes to put together and test out all the features. Plus, it really is nice to just use this whenever I want and not worry about having to pump up the air filled tires anymore like the one on my old wheel barrel. By the way, I didn't use my old wheel barrel that much so it sat in the garage for weeks on end but with the AeroCart, I use it for other functions quite a bit and I have since sold my old dolly, made a few dollars cash, and freed up some room in my garage,

Would I recommend this? Darn right I would!

This is the most important tool I have for all of my gardening needs. I can now finish putting all of my heavy packed boxes from moving too. It has nice tires which move across gravel easily. I can move just about anything now. This is a money saver because I don’t need a separate wheel barrow plus a decent heavy duty dolly! This can be used to move large trees and plants, and rocks for landscaping. My favorite tool for all sorts of uses. I live alone and don’t have a man around to help, this IS my helper now! Worth every penny I spent on it, and so easy to switch from dolly to wheel barrow, etc. It’s been a life saver for me. I highly recommend!!

I ordered the wheels to also convert the unit to a wagon. That combination is a real winner for routine use on an average size suburban lot. It is not however adequate for major landscape or construction purposes. A real wheel barrow would be needed due to the small volume size of this unit.
I routinely use the unit in wagon mode. It did a nice job as a wheel barrow for distributing top soil for same patch work in my yard. It is small and will only hold about 2 cu ft but that worked for me. I tried all of the accessories and the only one that is questionable is the yard bag holder. It might work for a plastic bag but is worthless for paper lawn bags. It is much too tedious to get the bag inserted and held properly with the bungee cord provided. I ended up using wagon mode and putting the bag with my current spring loaded opener inside the wagon. I would probably also use the wagon mode instead of cylinder carrier for LP Gas tanks.
I can put 2 filled lawn bags in the unit and pull it to the curb for waste recycle. You could probably only carry one without the wheels option. My neighbor borrowed it to do top soil patching on his lawn. He left it in wagon mode and really liked it.
For around the house routine work this is a great unit. Buy it and I double that you will be disappointed.
Without the wheels for wagon mode I would rate the unit a 4. With the wheels it's a solid 5

This cart has a ton if moving parts and attachments you may never use. It is sturdy and lightweight but if you are tall the wheelbarrow feature is limited without killing you back. For a person to stand upright and walk the carrying capacity is severely limited because all of your dirt, rocks, mulck etc is at a bad angle and tumbles out requiring you to hunch and move heavy weight. There is a net attachment, but it is for boulders, not small rock or loose material.
For my wife and kids this tool would get 5 stars, they love it! For me it stores great but the load capacity makes big jobs even bigger by needing to make more trips than with a regular wheelbarrow or gorilla cart.

The WORX Aerocart is perfect so far. I used it to help move two cords of firewood dumped in the driveway to store for the winter. It’s amazing how much can be loaded into the cart, and it does not try to tip over like conventional single-tire wheelbarrows. I can’t wait to try out the dolly feature to move boxes and other items.

This is a great wheelbarrow/dolly for someone who doesn’t want to wrestle with a really heavy load in a standard wheelbarrow (this holds maybe half as much as a big wheelbarrow) and who doesn’t have a lot of storage space in their shed. It’s really easy to assemble and disassemble and I love the fact that it’s multi-functional. I’ve already used it as a wheelbarrow, a dolly, and a garden bag holder — the only function I haven’t tried is the extended arm and net for moving heavy items (but if that works like the other features, I expect it to be a success). I also purchased the clips that let you fasten your shovel or rake to the side while transporting things (very handy), and I’m toying with the idea of getting the wagon conversion kit and perhaps eventually even the snow-pusher conversion kit. My neighbour mocked me for not getting a big four-wheeled wheelbarrow like hers (admittedly less tippy than a standard two-wheeler) but I haven’t had a moment of regret — I’ve got exactly what I needed and more.

I havent used this yet, but it assembled in just a few minutes, exactly as in the diagram. Its very heavy duty and has lots uses. The model i ordered did not come with a seat, but i will order or make one. The only downside is that its a bit smaller than anticipated, maybe 70% of a regular wheelbarrow, being the only reason I dont rate as a 5.

At first I thought is was a little small but now that I have used it I am very satisfied. Right now I'm using it for moving wood from the pile to the house. It actually fits through the door; this is a real bonus for us girls. Good sturdy build, stores upright without having to hang it. Can't wait for spring to utilize it's extra options.
