Groundswell Audible Audiobook – Unabridged

Sometimes the biggest ripples come from the smallest events. Like the day that Emma Guthrie, drop-out college student, walks into world-famous movie star Garrett Walker's trailer, and walks out on her way to becoming Mrs. Emma Walker, wife of an A-list actor. With her husband's encouragement, Emma pens a screenplay based on her life, which becomes a blockbuster sensation. Through it all, Garrett is her ally and her mentor... until Emma discovers an incriminating text message on Garrett's cell phone. Devastated, Emma flees New York City for a sleepy coastal town in Mexico, where no one recognizes her. There, she meets Ben, who teaches her about the healing powers of surfing and ultimately opens her up to the possibility of love.

You had me at your prologue! Great job!
I’ve enjoyed watching Katie Lee poke fun at Bobby Flay, showing off her feisty personality and humor!Groundswell proved that Katie is just one of those women who are so bright and capable they are good at everything they do! It took me 10 years to write a novel, A Divine Wind, a thriller set in the Middle East. Its not easy to complete a novel and do so, at such a polished level. Katie you had me after your brilliant prologue! Can’t wait to see the Hallmark movie! The yachts, the surf, the characters… Lacy Chabert surfing?Thers’s going to be a Groundswell for more creative entertaining works by Katie Lee!!! Kudos to her!!! Well done!!!

I learned about this book by chance while looking at "Hamptons Magazine's" website for something completely unrelated. Looking for a fun read, I took a chance and feel like I struck gold. The novel is a quick read that touches on several basic human emotions (love, anger, betrayal, passion) in a gripping way. My only complaint is that there was room to tell more of the story, and I closed the cover wanting more.

[This paragraph contains spoilers.]
For example, I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when Lily approached Emma to apologize, but we only heard of it in passing. And I don't feel like I got enough of what Emma and Garrett's marriage was like for seven years.

Overall, an enjoyable read!

I enjoyed this book so much. I love seeing Katie Lee on The Kitchen and her many other cooking shows ... but absolutely was amazed by her book. Your characters were easy to identify with and what an amazing storyline. A great summer read!📚

Great for an airplane or sitting at the beach or pool. Predictable, and a little too Harlequin Romance like, but some of the emotions hit home which bumped it up. A fun and fast read.

I confess I bought this book because I love to watch THE KITCHEN on Saturday mornings. I’ve gotten to know Katie Lee over the years and always enjoy her take on recipes. I heard she was an author and decided to give her novel a shot. I was delightfully surprised at what a wonderful book it was. Now I know that Katie Lee can write as well as cook up a storm. Give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. The only disappointing part is there aren’t any more books to read. Hey Katie- how about a sequel???!!! Chaplain Liz

This was a disappointing read. A decent story line. But poor writing. I will pass the book on to a friend but not recommend it.
