A perfect start towards complete closet organization! it's simple to add drawers, shoe shelves, baskets or doors. All vertical panels and shelves are made with durable thermally fused laminate, with a commercial-grade wood fiber composite core. The system hangs on a steel rail that is mounted to into your studs, so there is no need to remove baseboards. Properly installed, kit holds up to 1, 200 pounds in an 8' section.

This kit is now overwrapped in a UPS shippable box, safe to ship anywhere! The core is made of 100-percent recycled and recovered wood fibers and is Environmentally Preferable Product (EPP) Certified by the Composite Panel Association (CPA), the only environmental certification program that has achieved ANSI accreditation. Complicated set up, lacking sturdiness.
I like the look of it. It's not easy to put together. Lots of math. And need 2 people for sure. Mine came beat up a little, but willing to overlook bc I was able to hang it in a way that thats not too visible. What I dont like is even after all was said and done. Anchors were placed, and I couldn't touch the very left short wall without that whole end collapsing and the rods falling off. Just felt like something was missing. The right side was sturdy bc I braced that against a wall. I ended up using little L brackets to hold that wall still temporarily. Went out and bought an 8 ft shelf fro. Same company to cap off the top and that should hold it all together. After taking 3 hrs to put together it was staying and I was just gonna have to figure it out. Wish I didn't have to tho.

I love the look of this closet system. I chose Easy Track because it seemed easy to put together and provided closet organization at an affordable price. I had a little bit of trouble with attaching the track to the wall. The screws provided were slightly too long for the studs in my wall, so I used the toggle bolts to attach them. It only came with three, when four were needed, and one of them broke and fell into the wall, so I had to purchase toggle bolts to finish the assembly. Once the toggle bolts were properly installed, it was a breeze to put together and the finished product provides excellent organization and is very sturdy. I did not have to cut any of the pieces, as it fit onto the wall I planned it for with a few feet to spare. It also only came with 8 rod holders (one of which was broken), when 10 were needed. I was able to purchase replacements from another online retailer to replace these. I couldn't be happier with the finished closet, even with the trouble installing and extra expense of purchasing toggle bolts and rod holders.

Updated to add that the toggle bolts failed to hold the weight of the closet system after 5 years, creating huge holes in my drywall.

I am a 34 year old female and I was able to put almost the entire kit up by myself, I had a little help from my husband with a couple parts. So for the most part it was pretty easy. It's very sturdy and is exactly what you see in the picture. I had to use my dremmel to cut off the tips of the closet rods and that was super easy to do. I like the fact that you can raise and lower the rods to suit your needs. Overall extremely happy with this purchase.

Normally, items from Amazon are, if anything, over packaged. Not this order. The Easy Track Starter Kit was shipped in its original store box, adequate for taking the product home from a big-box store but nowhere near adequate for UPS shipping. The package arrived with rips in the packaging from end to end. One end was completely exposed (with evidence of some half-hearted attempts to repair the box) and, not surprisingly, the contents, consisting mostly of laminated particle board, damaged beyond use. Frankly, I'm surprised that UPS had the nerve to leave the package with its obvious damage on my porch. They'd have saved themselves trouble by just sending it back. Now I've had to submit a request for replacement, make some repairs on the packaging so it will ship "without damage," and have Amazon order a UPS pickup. I give Amazon credit for making the replacement as painless as possible, but they need to attend to how this item is shipped. Here's hoping the replacement shipment is packaged better. Otherwise, I'll be doing this all over again.

UPDATE (4/1/2013): The replacement shipment arrived promptly. As before, the box was damaged, but this time the damage to the contents was minimal. Installation was relatively easy, with one caveat: behind the drywall was duct work for the cold air return. I wasted a lot of time trying to figure out why my stud finder was giving me crazy readings until it dawned on me that they were caused by the sheet metal. I eventually found two studs by estimating their location and drilling small pilot holes until I struck the stud. Once that was done, installation was easy. Tip: if you find yourself installing on a wall with duct work behind the drywall, don't worry. The metal is easy to drill through, and the wall anchors won't affect the air flow significantly. Speaking of anchors, I was very impressed with the wall anchors that shipped with this product. Ingenious in their design, they are simply the best wall anchors I've ever used, and I've tried all kinds. After installing the unit, I made a special trip to the local hardware store to find and buy these anchors. I won't use any other type for future projects!

My wife is very happy with this unit. I'd estimate that it nearly doubled the usable space in the closet!

We bought this right before a holiday and it was shipped and arrived within a few days. Unfortunately it went to the wrong house. Apparently the UPS guy thought that dropping at the house around the corner with the same address numbers as ours was close enough and called it good. Great job checking if the street was right UPS.

Luckily the lovely lady that lived there came by to let us know that our package had been delivered there by mistake. My wonderful husband went to pick up the package and boy did he love picking up a 70 pound package and bringing it home.

Thank. you. again. UPS.

Upon arriving with the Easy Track system we discovered the package had been handled badly during shipping. The outer box bottom had been ripped open. The inner box (which you would see if buying at a store) was bent but intact.

We opened the package excitedly and... discovered that the 72" long panels had been broken cleanly in half.

Apparently the box had been either dropped or had fallen over with enough force to snap two large panels.

I immediately went to Amazon and went through the extremely easy process of returning the first box. They shipped out a new box before the first one had even been picked up for return and I had a new package waiting that Friday, three days later and with a holiday thrown in.

The system itself was very easy to put together and we discovered that you just put the track on the wall about 76" off the floor and then you can decide exactly where to place your panels. Not very easy for one person but easier with two.

I am and extremely handy person (I have refinished cabinets and I know my way around power tools) and I have to say that without two people, this would have been harder to put together.

Once it was done though I am beyond thrilled with how it looks. It holds all my clothes with room for more (Yay!) and it looks professional .

The only thing I wish they had was a shelf that goes on the top. We added our own and it looks awesome.

I would buy this again.
