This scale is very accurate and displays it in either ounces or grams so you can measure out all your ingredients when cooking. The other is that the glass plate can be screwed on and off for easy cleaning. When you place the vessel on top of the unit, it can easily slip and slide around. Suggestion to Cuisinart-put a rim around the unit that could firmly hold the stainless steel vessel securely in place. I would also suggest to prospective purchasers that when you do use this handy device, that while watching the display for the given measurement that you turn the pouring spout to the side for easier viewing your desired measurement.
