Buy it! Don't wash your hair before use!
At first I was unhappy and on the verge of sending it back but I realized I wasn't using it correctly and should have read the instructions. I thought the numbers on the "waver" was an automatic shut off so I kept it on 10 assuming it ment shuts off in ten minutes. Well I was wrong.. the numbers are for the heat of the waver. I bought this to do my hair for my wedding bc I didn't want to pay to have someone to do my hair. Once I figured out how to use it correctly, I love it! ****IMPORTANT: WORKS BEST ON UNWASHED HAIR**** I don't use hair spray or any products in my hair, I can't stand the feeling. I wash my hair once a week. My waves stayed and was still holding up after a 10hr nursing shift with no sprays. Only negative thing I have to say is ITS VERY HEAVY and quite big. I have carpal tunnel/arthritis in my wrist and elbows so it's a little rough. I wasn't expecting this to be as big and heavy as it is but I managed. It's intimidating at first, at least for someone whose never had one or used one. But now I recommend this to all my friends.

My hair is 25 inches long and has a natural relaxed wave but I wanted something a little more noticeable so I purchased the Revlon Perfect Heat Jumbo 3 Barrel Waver.
The first thing I noticed when using this product, was that my hair became more noticeably shiny and softer.
The Waver heats up very quickly and works like it's supposed to.
When it was heated up and , ready to use I only needed to crimp my hair for about 5 to 7 seconds and release and the wave definition was very nice.
The Waver is easy to use and cools down rather quickly when done using it.
The waves in my hair lasted for hours until I washed my hair. My hair did not feel brittle or crunchy
I gave this product 4 out of 5 stars because of the following:
I did not care for the handle that you use to clamp and release the hair with. It feels kinda cheap and its not easy to grip onto if you have your hand in a weird position.
I also didn’t like that the product doesn’t have a resting kick stand like normal curling irons have, so that when setting the product down on a surface, it doesn’t burn the surface or fall off onto the floor.
I also didn’t care for the way it leaves a sharp looking crimp line in your hair the first time u use it near the top of your head.
I would definitely recommend this to a friend or coworker It is a very easy product to use and is a great value for the price you pay.

So...this is great! I love the volume and body it gives my (normally stick straight) hair. It’s a very natural looking wave. It looks a bit harsh at first, but then softens over the next few hours into a natural look. It is heavy after awhile but maybe that’s because of my hair length and how long it took to do mine. It’s big and clunky, but it does the job amazingly well. The after picture I included is from the next morning after I used this-almost 24 hours later.
I read reviews saying not to use the clip that holds the handles together because it may break. And I tried that. I used my hands to clamp it together on half of my head. Then, I just got tired, my hands were cramping, so I went ahead and used the clip. Oh my god, the difference. It held the barrels right on my hair consistently and I could relax my hands. The wave looked SO much better on the second half of my hair. I’ll just use the clip from now on.
Make sure you use a heat protectant spray!! I’ve seen people ask of it makes a difference and the answer is-YES! Especially with products like this. I have to leave the barrels on each little section of hair for 90 seconds-that’s a long time for your poor hair!!
