I purchased the 2 ball pack and my dryer is medium/large sized and they do exactly as they say. Items come out fluffier, dryer and full bodied vs clumpy or slumping after a dry. I would recommend the 4 ball pack, I'm purchasing another 2. If you see the image I uploaded, they are soft, and can be squeezed. Yet you do have to apply pressure. You can also see from the image 2 are about one hand length. I feel that 4 would be better for the dry and heavier items. I have used these on a comforter that is queen size and they work, but I feel that 4 balls would do a better job than 2 overall. Have zero complaints and happy with the purchase. Also, they are not as heavy as a tennis ball. Its slightly smaller but not as heavy, yet maintain its structure for tumbling.

I had all ready purchased a set of "Dryer Balls" for myself and loved them so much that I purchased another set for my friend. No more worrying about putting fabric softener in the washer or a drying sheet in the dryer. These work amazingly well and you don't have that yucky fabric softener residue in your clothes. When you consider what you will pay for fabric softener over a few months you can easily see what a bargain this item is. And it lasts for years! Only time I have found that they do not work well is for super large items like sheets and blankets. Tend to get tangled up and not "bounce" around and do their thing. Other than that, terrific product! As Seen On Tv Dryer Max Dryer Balls

We had tried a different brand of dryer 'balls' before and they proved to be fragile (too stiff/plastic-like) and didn't last. But while they were used, our clothes seemed to dry quicker and with fewer wrinkles so we wanted to try again.

My Mom was using these Whitmor dryer balls and said she liked them, so we bought a set. Wow. These are much better than the previous brand we were using. These dryer balls have more weight (but aren't "heavy"; they seem "just right.") They are also more flexible (more rubbery vs. the 'plastic' type we had before.) That leads me to believe they will last longer, but only time will tell. So far, they are holding up well with no sign of cracking or damage.

The clothes do seem to dry faster, have more 'fluff' to them, and fewer wrinkles when we use these dryer balls. I now see them as a 'must have' and will get another set if these ever get lost or fall apart. Two thumbs up. Can't go wrong with these.

I have been disappointed in the performance of my new dryer ... that is, until I tried these. Speeds drying time, increased even-ness of dry, reduced wrinkles. Overall, generally happy with these. However, I needed 6 for my Whirlpool duet dryer ... cost nearly [...] bucks but I think it will be worth it in long-run.

UPDATE: I did have a ball break in the first month, and I returned them to Amazon for a replacement. I intend to return any additional broken ones to the manufacturer for replacement, as the product has a "2-year performance guarantee" that reads:

"If you're not satisfied with the performance of your Dryer Max Balls for up to two years after the original date of purchase, we'll replace them for you! Just pack your Dyer Balls and send them postage paid with a return address to: Ontel Product Corporation, Dept DB PG, 21 Law Drive, Fairfield NJ 07004."

I have not yet had I chance to try this item and am debating returning the items. The dryer balls I received look nothing like the ones pictured. They are a very dark blue unlike the balls pictured. Also, the pictures of the balls in there packaging are completely different than the ones I recieved. Normally this would not be a big deal but I ordered for sets of these and each package looks very dingy and one is badly damaged and torn. I do not think this will effect the dryer balls but I worry that the false nature of this listing will result in dryer balls that will not hold up to wear.

The balls I was sent were cheap imitation "Dryer FLUFF Balls", not the original "Dryer MAX Balls". I have uploaded a picture to show the difference. The 2 balls pictured shown in the product description are NOT what you get with your order!

These balls are made of hard plastic, not soft (and quiet!) rubber. They are darker and somewhat smaller than the original Dryer Max (shown on the product picture). Also, they are MUCH louder in the dryer, and I would definitely not use them in a new dryer, as they leave dents!

I have used the originals for quite some time and am very pleased with those. I would rate them 5 stars, that's why I wanted to order some more. Big mistake! Luckily last week I found some of the originals at TJ Maxx. I happily paid a bit more, but now I can dump the junk balls SOJITEC was selling me via Amazon. Too bad it's a hassle to retun a $5 item, but I like to make others aware of the difference: Don't fall for this obvious false advertising!

Edit: In the meantime, the product picture has been replaced, showing the 2 balls only, without the packaging. The item description has been replaced as well, mentioning neither "Dryer Max" nor "Dryer Fluff". This review referred to a complete different situation: Now you don't even know which kind of dryer balls you will receive in the shipment ...

In case you didn't know, fabric softener sheets are one of the most toxic things you can put on your body (Home Safe Home by Dadd, or google it). I tried to find natural liquid fabric softeners, but couldn't find any. My mother recommended the fabric balls, so I thought I'd give them a try.

They work, but you definitely need more than 2. I have 6, but should probably have 8 at the same time. They do make the laundry "fluffy", and help reduce static cling, but they don't eliminate static cling completely. I only notice the static cling when I'm taking the items out of the dryer....and only in the winter. After the clothes have been hung up or folded, I never notice the cling again.
