This sprayer is my second purchase of the same Dramm model I bought 3 years ago, not to replace it but for a second hose. The first one continues to be leak free and spray just as it did when purchased. While the sprayer is durable, I wish the color was more resilient to accidental drops, but I doubt anything can be done about it. My first one's color is still mostly intact. The setting for the 'center' spray is more narrow than my first sprayer, which I liked better because it was somewhere between the 'shower' and 'jet' settings. The new one has a stream that is similar the the jet setting when it's set on 'center,' only slightly wider. Over time the handle became stiff and I'd have to pull it out to stop the water flow. I don't know why since there isn't any rust or visible dirt and I never had this problem with cheaper sprayers. A little oil should help. From experience I learned to never leave sprayers or other spigot/hose attachments outside in the winter, so I can't say how they stand up to freezing weather. I recommend this sprayer for its durability, multiple sprayer options and ease of use.

I use these spray heads on the boat and in the yard. In the marine setting they last a good 10 years in salt air, being dropped in the ocean and picked up, being generally used and abused 5-20 times a day, every day, year in year out. After 10 years the paint was corroded and the nozzles corroded, but it still actually worked as well as when i bought it. I did however replace it so it looked nicer on my yacht. I leave it out hanging on the gunwale for easy accessibility, so it is constantly exposed to the salt air, ocean spray and brutal sunshine in this sub tropical location. Frankly i have been very impressed with it. It cleans feet, scrubs the boat, scrubs the dinghies, chases off seagulls, hoses off amazing amounts of pelican "stuff" dropped from the air, etc etc. The only thing i ever did to service this spray head in the ocean environment was apply a little anti-corrosion oil to the brass pull shaft about once a year, to stop it getting stuck.

In the yard it gets used for more normal activities, the various settings allow for very precise control of the water flow to carefully water areas needed. The mist function works extremely well for seedlings etc. The soaker function is basically useless, but i never need full flow anyway, the pressure here is too high anyway. The other nozzles all get used for various purposes.

this is an excellent all-around spray head. Highly recommended. Given it only costs twice as much as cheap plastic junk and the big box stores, this is a no brainer of a purchase.

As with all but two of the Dramm sprinklers I have bought, this isn't worth it. I bought the metal version (the ones in the store now are plastic) and kept it in a dry place when not in use and in the winter.

The first season was good, but the moment I brought it back out in spring it was leaking out of the side holes, and running even when the arm not depressed. Leaked everywhere. I was happy to blame myself had I not taken care of it but given Dramm is not cheap, I try to take extra care of the sprinklers.

Go with a cheapy.
