I love this book and instantly bought another Bluey book after reading it to my 4 year old. She laughed at these pages so hard. The book is identical to the tv show and we are a family who has laughed and cried to Bluey episodes! We love Bluey!

We ran across Bluey cartoons on a Disney Jr. channel & our grandsons began signing the opening song with us whenever it's on. The characters are well-developed, the stories are entertaining and appropriate, and the Australian voices are a hoot. (Mom & Dad are the most patient parents in the universe!) We later discovered the books, which are also good. Our grandsons (ages 5 1/2 and 8) have outgrown them a bit, but just today we heard on public radio that Bluey has attracted the attention of lots of fathers, which makes it even more valuable. Bluey's dad is a great role model!

Phenomenal book. After reading countless Children’s books it’s startling to come across one that has such imagination and emotion. Reviewers who complain about the subtext, do not understand the point. In bluey’s mind, it’s “not fair” that her dad doesn't get to play with his friends because he takes care of his kids instead - in other words she doesn’t understand loving sacrifice. But her dad helps her understand loving sacrifice (and not just begrudging duty) by not complaining about what he can’t do and enjoying what he can do. This is a lesson that few books teach: the value of putting others ahead of yourself.

My four year old's absolute favorite show is Bluey so when I saw they finally released a few books, I purchased all of them. Fruit Bat follows the synopsis of the same episode that shares its name. Bluey, not wanting to go to sleep, pretends she's a nocturnal fruit bat, and is soon dreaming of flying through the night sky.

The paperbook itself is high quality. The pages are super vibrant and glossy, unlike some kids' paperbacks that are thin, papery, with muted/dull colors. I sitll wish it was available in boardbook as my four year old is not the greatest at turning pages without bending or creasing them.

If your kid isn't a Bluey fan (and why wouldn't they be? Even us parents love Bluey!), I'm not sure this is the book for you. The story isn't anything amazing or something to boast about, but it's still special, fun, and reinforces a great lesson for kids.

If you love Bluey like our family does, this book is a no-brainer. The fruit bat episode is one of our daughter's favorites, so this was an easy purchase. The book is really cute, the authors didn't just slap together some stills from the episode with some text, they put thought into it and made it a really sweet little book. Definitely would recommend for Bluey fans. Note to parents, it's a very thin book and not sturdy, so be prepared that it may have a shortened lifespan if you have little ones who like to hold books and "read" for themselves.
