I was able to quickly put it on- it kept my shirt from getting soaked and thus becoming chilled, although the jacket itself got damp- it seemed to shed a lot of the rain. Afterwards, the jacket stayed cool keeping me a bit cooler and not overheating. It dried out as the race miles continued. Love everything about this for running in the rain!
