Ward D Kindle Edition

Medical student Amy Brenner is spending the night on a locked psychiatric ward.

Amy has been dreading her evening working on Ward D, the hospital’s inpatient mental health unit. There are very specific reasons why she never wanted to do this required overnight rotation.
Reasons nobody can ever find out.

And as the hours tick by, Amy grows increasingly convinced
something terrible is happening within these tightly secured walls. When patients and staff start to vanish without a trace, it becomes clear that everyone on the unit is in grave danger.

Amy’s worst nightmare was spending the night on Ward D.

And now she might never escape.

This must be the 3rd or 4th book of Freida’s that I’m giving 10/10 .
It’s hard to explain how much of a genius you would have to be to keep my attention. But this book was a master piece that had me captivated from start to finish. It was so cunningly clever, that I’m so embarrassed I could not guess the end twist and then she wraps it up so nicely and presents lingering questions making great for group discussions.
Thank you so much for the ride Freida. My pre order of your latest book has just arrived. So guess what I’m doing tonight.

Highly recommend this book. Great story, Great pacing, great twist.

This was my first Frieda McFadden novel, and though there were parts that were a bit slow, overall I enjoyed it. Each chapter carried the suspenseful plot, and it stays that way throughout the novel. I have rated it 4 out of 5 stars due to the ending and how there were parts difficult to follow, but overall, I thought it was pretty good!

5/5 ⭐️’s only because 🔟 wasn’t an option!

“Ward D" by Freida McFadden is an incredible read that I simply couldn’t put down! Just like the protagonist Amy, I found myself sleep deprived because I couldn’t stop turning the pages.

The twists and turns in this novel are out of this world. Every time I thought I had figured out what was going on, McFadden threw another curveball that left me questioning everything.

This book quickly became one of my Freida favorites. The suspense, the characters, and the unpredictable plot make it a highly recommended read.

I’m left yearning for a sequel. I can’t help but wonder, where are Will and Amy now? Did Amy give into the desires of the little girl in the pink ruffle dress? Freida, we need a book two!

**Highly recommend!**

I'm giving this 4 stars because it kept my interest and had good twists. The ending was a little predictable but the very end was good, and unexpected. The main characters best was cringey and annoying. There are some parts of the story that are unrealistic. But other then that it was a good read!

This book was very good and terrifying at times! I had heard some pretty bad stories from someone I know who did a phych rotation in college. There were no dead people, but the student felt crazy, for sure! This book was very had to put down. It flows nicely. I hoped the little girl would go away, but, oh well!

This is probably my 5th book I’ve read by Freida McFadden in the past 6 months, and I get more and more excited as I begin a new book by her. Working in the mental health field, I think she did a thorough job lying out certain details that sucked me in and made certain aspects of the book more convincing than what I’ve read or watched in other psychological thrillers. I could vividly feel Amy’s confusion and fear as the plot unraveled. You truly are masterful, and the plot twists get me every time! I’m never prepared for how the story turns, even when I think I’ve figured it out. Can’t wait for my next read!

Okkayyyyyy. Wow!!!

This was a bingeable book. I could not stop read. I never finish a book in pretty much 24h and this was it.

What would you do if you were a medical student and you were assigned to work on the psychiatric floor for one night? How would feel knowing that your ex changed shift to be with you and to top it off, your childhood best friend is a patient?

Ward D is a very fast pace book with lots of mind playing (psychological thriller at its best!). It keeps you guessing the whole time. Who can you trust? It makes you question about everything.

The last 80 ish pages are jaw dropping with a twist!! I know some people aren’t fans of the end but I enjoyed it! I think it adds a little something to it.

I do recommend this book! I love it!

Enjoyed this book, quite a few twists and the plot developed well throughout, left me thinking about it when not reading which I find a good sign of a book, Characters were pretty much believable but some story jumps were unnecessary I felt - However dis not stop me from enjoying the book - would recommend
