I got these pruning shears to replace one that I had for years. I like the look and feel of the shears. They look sharp, yet my first cut on a thin branch on a rose bush did not make a clean cut. It seems to work best on thicker 'thin branches' and perhaps the rose branch was too green. My other 'test' pruning worked well. The only other issue I had is the lock mechanism is difficult to slide to allow me to use the tool. Overall, it is a nice, useful tool.
