I picked this machine up on a whim, it was a great price, I got it on sale. I use this several times a week. My criteria for choosing whether a kitchen tool is worthy is do I use it enough to leave it on the counter, or do I put it into the pantry? This sits on my counter and is worth the space that it takes up. I use it several times a week. I have made all different kinds of ice cream, frozen yogurts, gelato, I thought that the pan was going to be really small but it actually makes a really good serving size of ice cream, you can serve multiple people with it. The machine is so quiet you don’t even know it is running! You will not regret getting this machine!

I have never owned an ice cream machine that isn't big or very noisy until I used this sleek and beautiful Ice Cream Maker. It's so visually appealing that I could leave it out on my counter if I wanted to, but it fits nicely in my cabinet. As far as ice cream makers this works pretty much the same, use a regular ice cream recipe, freeze the bucket for 12 hours beforehand, press a button, and pour in the mixture. With that being said, this ice cream maker made the making process very easy. My 2.5-year-old daughter even “helped me” with some steps. It also made delicious and creamy ice cream, which is what really matters to me! I love this product and would recommend it to all my friends and family.

The GOOD ends there.
I mixed up a yoghurt base, put it in the canister, turned the machine on. Lights lit up. Timer started. Went 4 seconds then 3 beeps. The motor never turned the paddles once. Well not quite accurate. IF I tapped aggressively on the motor housing it would run for maybe 20 seconds before quitting. Then would beep and not start again. I even emptied the container. Motor still wouldn't run.
It is going back.
What is particularly frustrating about this is that Amazon often will send a replacement immediately. Not so this time. No replacement until the defective unit is received. Had I known this I would've asked for a refund instead.

I love this box. Not too big or too small. Color is off white with rounded corner. Clear lid with chrome accent motor.The display is clear and bright. I made several batches already , and the result is like the store bought ones. I just filled about half of the removable bowl so as not to overflow the container. Custard based ice cream, at about 20 min the liquid starts to form. By 30 min is already an ice cream with nice texture. Lid, mixing blade and container are easy to clean. Noise wise, this machine is not loud.

I wish I would have done my reasearch on ice cream making before I bought this so I would have known what to expect. It is a very LONG process. In my head I imagined it was super simple, that I would add a couple ingredients to the thing, turn it on and then I would have ice cream. It’s something I thought my kids could do them selfs (12 & 13 years old) but it’s not that simple. It involves cooking on the stove first. The instructions are great but if you have never done this before or don’t have any general know how in the area you will probably be like me and have to re read the instructions multiple times while attempting to use this machine because it is a bit intimidating.
