I have enjoyed using this product. It is easy to use, after the learning curve. I use it often.It does not have an on/off switch. Just plug it in and it starts heating. I would prefer an on/off switch.Silicone cups do not need greasing, which is great. I can make a batch, turn them out and make a second batch without washing them or greasing them.I place the 9 cups on the heating surface, pour 1 cup of water around them and plug it in to start the water heating. While heating, I add any "filling" ingredients. Cheese, bacon, ham, chopped sautéed veggies? Personal choice. Beat the eggs with seasoning and some milk, cream or water. I use about 6 eggs, but you will have to experiment, as egg sizes differ and it will also depend how many additional ingredients you add. Each cup is 1/4 cup capacity.First photo shows raw ingredients.Second photo shows how lid raises during cooking.Third photo show after they are cooked.The lid pushes up during cooking because the egg puffs up, soufflé style. They drop back down once they start to cool.Usually they need 12 minutes to cook, but this will depend on how full the cups are. 10 minutes is not enough with mine, and I preheat the water, as I said.I make multiple batches, freeze leftovers and then use them from the freezer. Microwave for 1 min from frozen, but this will depend on the size, number and microwave.As I mentioned, there is a learning curve.I was hoping the unit could be used as a panini press or for grilled cheese sandwiches, but it is not heavy enough and does not press down on a sandwich enough. The unit is quite lightweight. It *does* do the job it was made to do.
