 So, I bought two different types to compare: the Stanley for my hubby and the Sursip for me. The Sursip said it was leakproof but the Stanley did not so I don’t know why Amazon has you rate the Stanley for that.

The Stanley is much lighter and taller which makes it easier to fit into my car drink holder . We did test out the temperature and it holds both hot and cold drinks well. However, as a teacher who needs at times to carry her drink in a bag, this is a not go for me.

The Sursip was heavier from the start and wide. It fiits in my drink holder but the width of the top makes it bulky and awkward as I drive . However, without the straw, after the liquid caught in the lid drained (just watch for that ) it was leakproof.

The Stanley comes across as a nicer look and feel, but I wonder if I had purchased a different colour in the Sursip if it would have a different texture.

Honestly …I love Sursip’s value and leakproof but the Stanley has the overall feel, look, and weight - and width I would prefer.

First of all, I had to give two stars for "leak proof" because it comes with a straw. There is no way using this that any product could be leak proof. Of course, if the straw is removed and the hole sealed, it will not leak. But I think to judge "leakiness" in this type of design is misleading.
The outside is very sturdy and the insulation is great! It keeps liquids cold or hot for hours. I especially like the fact that it is 40 oz. so I can easily monitor my water intake. Also, I like that the very bottom is flared in, so it will fit in a car's cup holder (unlike other mugs).
It is well worth the money.

Picture above is three different brand 40oz tumblers. Hydroflast is best for biking, the Raymylo for hiking, and the stanley for everyday use (according to my wife who cleans them). Basically the tumber is good, but there might be better options depending on what you do everyday.

I dont like that the lid doesn't hold a seal, can tip it over and spill everything. My wife loves it and uses it daily. I can't really stand it. Also barely fits in some cup consoles, forget about using it in a manual car because it will block the shifter.

If they offered a lid with a better seal that also wasn't all plastic with a plastic straw (microplastics are bad.) I would give it 5 stars because it holds drinks cold really well. This is easiest to clean than the rest because it doesn't have a lip.
