Steve and Heather have been through a lot and this book chronicles their journeys...from some background about their childhoods to the way they met, all while Steve deals with a terrifying medical journey. Heather writes what I call the 'internal emotions,' and you can truly feel what she was feeling through her words. Steve writes the 'visual emotions' and not only makes you feel like you are there with them, but also throws in wisdom and humor throughout. They both write in a way that you are pulled into their thoughts and lives.
HIGHLY recommend picking this up for a good (sometimes funny, sometimes emotional) read!!

The Winfrees and I have known each other for about six years and I thought I knew them. Well, I knew only inklings of their story after all. I started reading their book and saw how much I didn't know. I thoroughly enjoyed their writing styles: nice and easy. I spent the whole book either weeping a little or smiling broadly. The medical problems Steve has gone through! And, by virtue of her love for Steve, Heather too. I heartily recommend the book not only to those with kidney disease or kidney transplants, but to anyone who has faith, who loves, and who wants to be raised up by another's story.
