Using my Rocklin Standup Weedpuller for the First time

Using my Rocklin Standup Weedpuller for the First time
As you can see I was able to pull up the dandelion root and all.I didn't like that the rubber tip wore out after only about 15-20 minutes of use. Am going to have to put an old sock or something and tape it cause you really needrhatpadding.I also suggest that maybe they can add a metal handle of sorts at the middle to help in pushing the tool into the ground (See drawing)...I would also help to waterthe weds a bit to make it easier to pull them up.You also have to make sure the tools's forks are right in the middle of the dandelion to pull it up root and all. Taller weeds are hader to pull up....

Nothing short of amazing. Take the time to use it CORRECTLY, and it does exactly what it says it does. Not a gimmick, well made and yanks the root out effortlessly. For those who say it's worthless or it broke, I can only imagine what you tried to do with it or how you used it. Unless your ground is like cement, you don't get hung up on stones......it's hard to break. The threaded shafts will not come apart unless you don't tighten them well. Three sections make shipping much more expensive. For the money, it's worth every penny. Learn how to use it, read the instructions, and you will be pulling dandelions just for fun!

This product was easy to use, real easy on the back and no bending! In a 30-minute time span, I easily pulled 50 weeds - a variety of hard to pull weeds. We had some "new' weeds come in that were so close to the ground, you had move rocks out of the way to pull by hand, but this tool made short work of those! It's so good, I am going to buy another one for the hubby to use. I have a cactus garden with big spikes, and I was able to pull weeds without getting stabbed!

This tool came very easy to assemble and seems quite sturdy. We have only used it for a short time and for a portion of our weed filled yard. The 4 out of 5 rating was established due to mixed reviews by me and my spouse. From the "female perspective", this product can save your back. It pulls out very large weeds well and without need for strain. I would think it a good combination to use with the "old fashioned on your knees pulling". My husband was less enthralled as he did not find it as easy to maneuver the lever and tilt the pole to get the weeds out. Overall I think it is a good product for the cost and a good combo tool to use if you have a garden full of weeds as we do!

The Rocklin™ Stand Up Weed Puller Tool is a godsend for those of us who take garden upkeep seriously but don't fancy spending hours on our knees. This clever tool is designed to make weeding less of a back-breaking task, allowing you to uproot those pesky intruders while standing upright.

The weed puller is quite a simple mechanism, but don't let its simplicity fool you. Its leveraged claw allows you to dig deep around the weed before pulling it out—roots and all—with surprising efficiency. Of course, every weed is different, and some trial and error were needed to adapt my technique depending on the type of weed. Dandelions, thistles, and thorns each required a slightly different approach, depending on their root structures.

I was genuinely pleased with the results. Not only was I able to pull out a considerable amount of weeds but also the roots attached to them. The productivity I achieved was satisfying, proving the weed puller to be a valuable tool for any garden maintenance arsenal. The highlight of my experience was one afternoon when I managed to clear a significant portion of my weed-infested garden. I could practically see my garden breathe a sigh of relief.

However, even the most promising products can sometimes have their Achilles' heel, and sadly, the Rocklin Weed Puller is no exception. The weak link here is the screw that attaches the claw to the handle. After only a day's use, the screw on my first weed puller went AWOL. I returned the product and received a prompt replacement, only to encounter the same issue on the second day with the new tool.

This recurrent issue seems to be a design flaw. The screw attaches only on one side of the claw, and there is no threading in the handle to ensure a secure connection. Add the substantial jostling the claw endures during use, and it's no surprise that the screw is prone to loosening. A more secure design, like a longer through-and-through screw with an exterior nut and some threadlocker, could potentially solve this issue.

The product's performance was superb until that tiny yet vital screw disappeared. The customer support was commendable—they promptly sent a replacement after my first return. I really wished I could have kept this product, but the recurring issue with the screw was just too big a flaw to ignore.

To potential buyers, I advise you to be aware of this issue. It's not unique to my experience; other users have reported the same problem. While the Rocklin™ Stand Up Weed Puller Tool could potentially make your gardening much easier, it's a pity that such a small component can have such a big impact on its overall reliability.

In conclusion, the Rocklin™ Stand Up Weed Puller Tool is a brilliant concept with a notable design flaw. Until that is addressed, I find it hard to recommend this product. I hope that Rocklin takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements. A product with this much potential deserves that chance.

Lastly, if you found this review helpful or experienced something similar with your Weed Puller, please mark the review as helpful. Hopefully, it will prompt Rocklin to improve their product.

Great way to get rid of weeds for good without bending over! It is built very well. Just push times down over the weed, push with your foot, lean the handle to the side and the weed comes right out roots and all.
Reviewed in the United States on May 6, 2024
The pop rivet holding the head to the handle is not strong enough and after only a few hours of use the head is wobbling. I'm afraid the hole in the handle is enlarging or the rivet will soon break.

The pin on the head where the jaw pivots is stretching and causing mis-alignment of the jaws making it difficult to clamp the weeds.

Both of these pins need to be made of stronger material or the tool will become useless.
