This umbrella is sturdy, heavy enough not to be blown inside out. I'm particularly happy to see it auto opens and closes. Didn't read that feature.

I've had more than my share of the chinzy umbrellas from the dime store. This is small enough for tote bag or a brief case.

Must add, customer service reached out when I a bit of a problem. Excellent. "All's well that end's well".

Just did a month long vacation in Europe. Weather was good but did encounter rain. Was so glad we had brought these along. They held up well under the wind we had. They open with just the push of a button. They fold down with the push of a button as well, but requires your second hand to fully collapse them. They are compact and easy to travel with. Easily fits in a rolling bag, daypack or even side pocket for a water bottle.

I've gone through SOOO many travel umbrellas over the years that have broken in high winds, failed to retract, or faded in a short amount of time. The Repel umbrella I purchased has solved all those problems! It's slightly more expensive than the cheapies I've bought in the past, but the extra $10 makes a BIG difference! It's very sturdy and has 9 ribs (as opposed to the usual 8), and the bright yellow color is perfect for a dark, dreary, rainy day! It's a bit hard to close--I need to push hard from both ends to snap it shut--but it wraps up and goes back into its sleeve easily.
