Product Description

Nature Sustained products are 100% free of chemical additives and use beneficial microorganisms combined with naturally occurring elements from plants and fruits. Our body wash is formulated specifically to nourish dry, sensitive skin.

Using a process of fermentation, Nature Sustained Skin Care products contain specially selected elements which combine to form a synergistic "brew" that enlivens the scalp, supporting the body’s natural production of oils, resulting in a balanced and healthy environment on the body and skin.

We venture into the jungle in Thailand to hand source the wild soap berries, fruits & pure spring water for our botanically enhanced formulation. With consistent use, soapberries help clean the pores of the scalp, removing years of residual build up left by chemical based hair products.

Why Probiotics?

We already know how important it is to have a healthy and balanced microbiome in our gut. The same goes for the skin – probiotics nurture our good bacteria and kill off the bad bacteria. Adding microorganisms to raw plants and fruits helps to release enzymes which break them down and create beneficial substances. The fermentation helps the skin & scalp to absorb those beneficial substances better. No wonder we call it ‘Kombucha for the skin’!

pH Balanced

The soapberries in our formula create a naturally alkaline substance, allowing the skin to lock in moisture and preventing dryness and irritation.

This body wash made my skin feel clean, light, soft, bright, and perfectly moist - not damp or wet - just the right amount of moisture - kind of like the way a bouquet of watercress feels when you run your hand and fingers over it, or the petals of a rose - how they feel so fresh and moist, but not wet. It is as if it takes all the stress out of the skin, leaving it feel so comfortable. There is also a very light, subtle scent that gently and occasionally wafts by off of it which momentarily overcomes the olfactory sense, causing a pause for a moment of pure and simple, not overpowering or overwhelming, wonderous joy. A scent that I have never experienced before, have no idea what it is, nor what it is called, and is so light and subtle and beautiful. That such a product exists is a treasure.

I have only been using this wash for about a week, but I already love it. I noticed a big difference in the condition in my skin and hair over other natural (oil based, not ph balanced) washes. I will try to keep the review as short as I can, but I do want to touch on a few points.

1. It does have a slight vinegar like smell when you open the bottle, but the smell does not stay on your skin. Please don't let it deter you from using this. I have no problem with the scent as it tells me that the wash is actually fermented like it says it is.

2. This wash produces a light foam. If you are used to commercial washes that implement chemical foaming agents to overproduce suds, then you might think this wash won't work as well as those. You would, however, be wrong.

3. I personally use this wash on my whole body, including my face and my hair. It works great. It cleans away dirt, sweat, bad germs, etc. But does not strip away natural oils or good bacteria. My skin always feels soft after using this. It makes my hair clean, shiny, soft and not weighed down at all. It also does not leave behind any gross product buildup.

4. Yes, the bottle is small. I am not worried about this for a few reasons. First, you don't need to use a lot of this to get clean even if you use it from head to toe like I do. Also, most people shower way too much. We've all been trained by the shower product industry to bathe every day and some people even do it twice a day. That practice is very bad for your body and actually unnecessary. I only wash my face, pits, privates and feet every day and I do a full shower every 3 days. No, I don't stink and I don't look dirty, not with this wash. Using this pratice I won't have any problem getting a month's use out of this bottle. Then I plan on buying the gallon jug which should last a year. I'll refill the little bottle to use as hand wash at my sink.

Sorry to be so long winded, but I think people should give this wash a try. If you value truly natural products and you want something that will help your body and not hurt it, then look no further. Please set aside preconceived notions about body washes in general and give this a try. I think if you do that you will be pleasantly surprised.

Got my order of the large bottle over 2 weeks ago, it was destroyed on arrival. The cap popped off and more than half of the product leaked out and soaked the box. Got a full refund and figured I'd try the little that was left in the bottle. This expensive ass body wash actually works wonders! My brown skin is no longer ashy if I don't lotion after my shower. No itchy, dry skin either. My son's skin also no longer itches while he's showering, and no dry skin after. I'm pissed because this is the first bodywash that I actually love. I'm usually a castile bar soap gal, but they dry out my skin and make my son itch. Now I have to spend over $100 for a darn body wash. For the love of all that's good, please tell me there is a holiday discount code or that they sometimes go on sale!! Wayyyyy too expensive, but I would definitely stock up on a good sale.

Edit: People clearly do NOT know the definition of watery. There is nothing watery about the consistency, it's more like a thick gel. No, it's not going to smell like toxic Bath & Body works. If you like that poison, this body wash is not for you. It's also not a "soap" so it's not going to give large, crisp bubbles like a soap with chemical, but it does suds beautifully, cleans very well, leaves no scent, and not very drying to the skin.

I'm really happy with this and will buy again. It doesn't smell fantastic, definitely not like lemongrass, but that's ok. It works, and I don't smell it at all after I'm out of the shower. I've been using a probiotic body wash from another brand for several years. I ran out and decided to try something new. I was out of it for a little while. Let's just say that now that I'm using a probiotic wash again, everything is exactly the way it should be. Things got a little off when I was using regular soap. Nothing terrible, just not as perfect as I like. Now everything is great again. So it works.

I tried using something cheaper just because this product is so expensive for the small amount you get...however, it is the best shampoo and body wash I've ever used. I only have to wash my hair a few times a week. It doesn't make my skin react or break out (I have extremely sensitive skin). The smell isn't the best but you get used to it and it doesn't linger. I literally can't use anything else. Just try it if you're skeptical, it's worth it.
