Had thong style several years and loved the way they feel on my feet after run or being on my feet all day. But I noticed the side plastic 'strap' was starting to tear. Also, when feet are wet (like around the pool) feet tended to slide off the base. Finally I was watering the flowers in my yard, stepped on something, and my foot rolled off the base, snapping the thong attachment between my big and second toe. Decided to replace with the slider model, and much happier. They snug my feet better, don't make the 'flip-flop' noise every step, and seem more durable.

My husband and I each bought a pair of these after moving into a house with wood and tile floors. I love to cook and needed something that would support my arches while in the kitchen. These shoes are everything that people say they are! I got size 11 and he got size 12 (he wears size 10 normally). Please note that I have wide feet and yes, I wear women's US size 11 normally. The only reason that I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because it was difficult to figure out the sizing.

Pros:

1. Excellent arch support. No achy feet after a couple of hours of standing in the kitchen on tiled floor. I have a back injury and normally standing longer than fifteen minutes hurts me. Amazing!
2. Durable material, pliable enough to not hurt, strong enough to not fall apart right away. I predict that we will get more than a year of use out of these as long as we only wear them indoors.
3. They fit my wide feet. They were a little tight at first, but relaxed just enough after a couple of days of wearing them.
4. They arrived quickly and were easy to return when we had to size up for my husband.

Cons:

1. They are not very attractive. But who cares? They are indoor shoes after all and they work like magic!
2. Shoe sizes appear to be US women's, so men need to go up two sizes.
3. According to what I read, they should say "Made in Korea" to be legitimate OOFOS. My shoes are legitimate and my husband's appear to not be. We bought them from the same seller. He can't tell the difference, though. They look identical.
