As a man that considers sunscreen while on vacation enough "face lotion" for the year, moisturizing is definitely new to me. But I'm now 40 and I want to make sure I don't LOOK like a crusty old man when I eventually become one. And I have to say, this whole experience is painless and pretty nice. It's a relatively unscented (super mild) and it's a gel. It doesn't make my face feel greasy and I find it's nicer than more "lotion-ey" aftershaves. Give it whirl, gentlemen. It's just as good as the more expensive brands, but budget-friendly – especially if you're unsure if moisturizing is something you want to bring into your life.

This gel has a nice mattifying effect that makes it a go-to for Southern and Caribbean heat (and summertime elsewhere), probably due to the west Indian arrowroot, one of the first ingredients, and coconut alkalines. Skin stays supple in the right places and dry in the right places. For me, it sits on the face more than other gels, but it's brilliant at blocking sweat and redness. Too many creamier moisturizers literally fall down the face on hot, sweaty days, and this product withstands all of that. Upon application, it's a strong citrus smell that I didn't mind, but some may not go for (it goes away once it sets). Vitamin C, allantoin, apple, and kelp extract are hot ingredients for gentle exfoliation and firming, so I could see this being a great night treatment. A little goes a long way: You can actually cover the face with a pea-sized amount.

My wife had me going to Sephora and buying this $60 can of cactus gel because I was putting Gold Bond on my face after taking a shower. Then I discovered Bevel, and now I use their body bar, face wash, face gel, and aftershave. It all has a light-masculine smell, unlike the stuff I was getting at Sephora.

I was breaking out all the time, I sweat a ton when I workout, I work outside, not to mention the fact that I was forced to wear a mask for a year+. I hate to say it because it sounds like an advertisement, but now people comment about how good my skin looks. It also feels good to take care of your face.
