No-nonsense guide to your better financial life
Firstly, I've been following Brian's YouTube channel since I found them in 2019. I went into this book knowing the basics of the Financial Order of Operations and already applying this to my life. What I loved about this book versus just watching his content were all the personal anecdotes and his honesty about what Brian has faced and done in his own life- not limited to just financial decisions. This book is really about creating a life well lived. The financial advice in this book is accessible to anyone. The FOO is a guide for what to do with your next dollar, and if you follow it, there's a good chance you'll live without fear of not having enough or working until you die on the Walmart floor. I started with $40k of high interest debt in 2019 when I found The Money Guy. Now we're debt free except for our low interest mortgage with ample savings and investments (index funds, of course!) If not for the FOO, I don't know if I'd ever have climbed out of that hole. Pick up this book if you're looking for financial freedom and you're ready to put in the work. Brian makes it simple, and the plan works.
