But this book is a little off of her usual track. She defends Christianity, rather cogently, despite being a declared atheist herself. As a believer, I'm not offended by this. She sees things to admire in Christianity. She finds that Christianity is important to the history and future of this nation.
The book is an easy read; the discussion flows well. It's also well-researched, with many quotes and references to past political events. Recommended.
In summary the message is not that the liberal left is bad because of political views but bad because they have developed a pattern of ignoring religious and faith based content and subsequently belittling those who do.
A true conservative, not a radical tea party supporter or a Libertarian, SE tells it how she sees it, a world in which people of faith are becoming marginalized as a result of how they are portrayed by the likes of Bill Maher and Rachel Madow.
It was extremely satisfying to see that there are others who notice how the liberal media paints those who go against the liberal agenda as being savage and uncaring.
That said, the book is boring. Mega-boring.
Poorly constructed, I could have written it in about two weeks.
Nothing to recommend it, and I like S.E. Cupp on TV.
I think this book is brilliant.
She addresses issues that most people are too scared to talk about.
I love her humor and her writing style most of all, even if you don't agree with her views I feel like you could enjoy this simply for the artistry of her writing alone.
At some points she reminds me of Flannery O'Connor.
I hope S.E. Cupp writes more books.
If she ever runs for office I'd become a Republican just to support her.
