Celebrate the LGTBQ community with this small but perfectly formed guide to Pride.

What began as a protest for gay rights following the Stonewall riots of 1969 in New York has grown to become a global celebration of LGBTQ culture. In the 50-odd years since the original protest, and what is now widely accepted to be the first Pride march—Christopher Street Liberation Day, 1970—Pride events are now attended by millions each year, celebrating how far we’ve come, recognizing where we have to go, and highlighting important causes in the queer community.

The Little Book of Pride proves that size definitely doesn't matter by squeezing everything you need to know about Pride into 144 pages. Inside, you will find the history, the key people involved, the best Pride events around the world, inspirational quotes from famous queers, Pride facts, and a fun Pride survival guide.

Fantastic! Can't Recommend Enough!
This is an absolutely wonderful book! Whether you're looking for a succinct but important resource, or a reminder of why Pride is special, this book has it. And the author goes beyond simply touching on the obvious, taking time to draw attention to some individuals and topics that are often overlooked. There's something in this book for everyone. I can't recommend it enough!

What an absolute cracking find. Really informative, well researched and a very interesting read. I learned so much about PRIDE, in such a short space of time. It’s pocket sized, well edited and the illustrations are amazing. So easy to pick up and read in short sections, it’s definitely not a boring frightening tome!! It’s a must as a birthday surprise or a christmas stocking filler under the tree ! The edging is spectacular and will look good on any one’s book shelf, a conversation topic. Well done Lewis Laney.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great collection of Pride facts in a pocket size
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 22, 2020
This book is an easy read on the history of Pride. Exploring the different historical facts prior to Stonewall, the author brings up many unknown stories.

This is an essential guide to anyone within the queer community and the ones that want to know a bit more of the events that led us to the Pride movement.
