I got the color amber and it seems to light for me I am white, and tan very well, but not like "tanning mom" tan I'm going to try a like a "glow" or luminescent primer under it see if that helps. It did come broken in a zillion pieces 💔 😢 but ordering online makeup u run that risk. I do think the coverage is decent tho maybe the right primer will do me better.. using no primer was a hard no and Mableline age perfect blur primer wasn't impressive either with it lol ima try elf primers next. I am extremely fair and I've tried several shades of this powder and they all go on more light than the color it appears to be.

It is also not as finely milled as the L'Oreal True Match powder.

If you are looking for the powder to be your foundation - this is probably the right formula but use care when selecting the shade and if you are in between shades be sure to choose the darker of the two. I personally needed to go 2 shades darker than what I would select from other L'Oreal powder and foundation shades.

I am able to use this powder as a matte highlighter on my browbone, cheeks, and just above the jawline for a sculpted look so It isn't a total waste to have the lighter color.

Note that there is a white cast so if you use the product you will see some white effect in photos that are taken with a flash.

I had planned to use this as a foundation but I have many fine lines and I think that a powder foundation is generally not right for me because it tends to settle into those fine lines in a couple of hours - this is a separate comment from the color and is not a complaint about the performance.

This product is NOT for someone with dry skin. You probably know that but if it is your first powder foundation: please use care.

The product lid is difficult to open and the packaging itself is very thick and bulky in my purse. I don't like to carry it or struggle to open it when I want to apply powder.

*********Bottom Line************
If you want a L'Oreal product to cover some shine - choose the True Match powder which you can also find on this site. It performs very well, is more finely milled, and the packaging is easier to open.

If you want this product as a powder foundation: I recommend you choose or or two shades darker in your skin tone range (warm neutral or cool).

I’ve been using this cover up for around 2 years and it’s by far one my favorites. I used to use Dermablend but they stopped making the pressed powder, so I switched to this. It’s definitely not as good as Dermablend but if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative that provides great coverage then this a good option. I was able to match my color perfectly, it’s comfortable and weightless. Def happy with this cover up and will continue to use it! Highly recommend!

All I can say, I just found a dupe for my MAC Studio Fix Plus Powder Foundation and at a much affortable price of course! Mac has raised their prices a lot. The Loreal is full coverage which I love, and does not look cakey at all. I ordered this in colour mocha to use as a contour/bronzer and am so happy i did. This powder foundation is a very quality product for a very fair price. This powder foundation wears longer than my too faced bronzer and that one is far more pricey. I have combo skin (oily t zone) and so i use the laura mercier powder foundation as my base and this product as a contour. Highly recommend..this colour mocha is a very flattering brown without any orange or copper or muddy tone. Suitable for many tones and it is very buildable. You can sweep just a lil and it looks nice or more than usual and melt it and blend it into your skin with your clean hands for a very natural finish. Pliable formula for a lack of better terms. I believe the test of makeup is answering yes to these 2 questions: 1. Does it look good 3 hrs + later? 2. Can i conveniently and quickly touch up my makeup throught the day?
I find with enough moisturizer and or primers, powder foundations last alot longer and look alot better through out the day. They are way easier to touch up as well.
