This isn't a traditional scrub in my opinion.
What I mean by that is that it doesn't have the scrubbing beads you might be used to in other scrubs. There is certainly some kind of abrasive element (probably the charcoal) in there, but it seems to dissolve fairly quickly within a couple of seconds. Having said that...it does the job well! If you're looking for something super abrasive, this might not be for you. However, I would say that it does a great job cleaning my face and although you LITERALLY only need a pea sized amount, it foams up to a nice lather and leaves me squeaky clean.
