I thought this was a great novella set in the Good Girls Guide to Murder series. I love how playing this game she decided on what project to do for her senior year.

My daughter loved the Good Girls Guide to Murder series and is dying for the TV series. She saw this book and wanted it right away!
She said it was quite a bit darker and bloody, this coming from someone that loved the Maze Runner series, but she liked it
The author is awesome, she's moving onto the last book she hasn't read yet.

This is billed as the prequel to A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder. It was really just an attempt to milk money out of fans of the series. This was pretty useless. The murder mystery dinner plot was not entertaining. Every time it seemed like the suspense was going to ramp up and become a thriller, it was a fake out. This book was meant to tell you what led to Pip’s investigation in book one. While it did address that, a whole new book wasn’t necessary. The only part I enjoyed was the final scene that dropped breadcrumbs about the villain in the original installment. Having read the whole series, that wasn’t new information. Just a clever reminder. Jackson needs to retire this series now.

I loved the book. while reading it, you try to figure out who's the killer. I enjoyed it a lot, like the other series.

This is a fun quick read that’s a prequel novella to the AGGGTM series. Definitely not a must read for the series…just provides a little bit of backstory for how Pip chose her senior capstone project that kick started everything in the series.

The group of friends get together for a murder mystery game. Not a bad story, but lacks some of the tension and twists I’d come to expect from reading the trilogy.

One thing to note, at least for the kindle version…the book is even shorter than you’d think. There’s a lot of sample chapters for AGGGTM and Five Survive. Book actually was complete at 60%.

Not what I expected... was a precursor to the actual books followed by a few chapter preview to AGGGTM and Five Survive.

What a FUN novella!

This book is a delightful read! And can totally be a standalone book or be read in conjunction with the "A Good Girl's Guide to Murder" series.

I happened to read this AFTER I read AGGGTM trilogy, and I think it doesn't really matter if you read Kill Joy first or last.

I will be honest, though.

Of the four in the series, Kill Joy is my most favorite!

And I love how serendipitous it is, because tomorrow is our 29th wedding anniversary and we are ALSO going to very similar event, and I am SO EXCITED!!!

I HAVE ALWAYS wanted to do this!

Everyone should read this! It's just fun!
