I love this hair wax! It smells so good. I’ve used it on my boys since they were toddlers and I buy about 1 a year, so even though it might seem expensive, a little goes a long way. All the preschool teachers kept telling me how good my toddler smelled and asked if I put cologne on him. I was like, nope, it’s his hair gel! We generally do 2 hair styles, spiked in the front or the hipster cut where you part on the side and slick it all over and it works great to tame their hair for both!

I like this texture gel quite a bit, it came to me highly recommended. I used to use an off brand pomade type stuff, which was very similar. When you apply this to your hair it dries and hardens your hair in a way that looks natural, not like that wet gel look that you get from actual gel.

When you apply this in your hair it doesn't leave your hands feeling sticky or gross and it is actually powerful enough that I usually wake up with my hair sticking up like I had it the day before, which is impressive.

So why only 4 stars? Well I am completely satisfied with the product, but would I buy it again? the answer is no. My old pomade was not quite as good but fairly close, but it was only $4 for the same size bottle, so I just don't feel this is 3x better to justify paying 3x more for it.

Been using this now for a couple years and it works great. I sweat a lot and this stuff holds no matter what. It holds hard but my hair is still soft, hard to explain. I guess it doesn't feel unnaturally hard like other cheaper gel products (looking at you moco de gorilla) and it is not too shiny. I keep my hair short so for me this works great. I've tried other Johnny B products in the past and have always been happy with them. I switched from the they're original blue gel to this because I wanted something stronger hold and this definitely holds better, which was a nice surprise. I have let my hair grow a little longer on top and it still works good but I think it works best on shorter hair.
