FAQ

Q1: What devices can the Explorer 1000 power?

A: The Explorer 1000 can charge/power devices that operate at less than 1000 watts. It's important to note that the total wattage of all connected devices should also be under 1000 watts. If the power requirement exceeds this limit, the Explorer 1000 will automatically shut off. Please check your device's specifications before making a purchase.

Q2: How can I know the working time for my device?

A: You can calculate the working time using the formula: Working time = 1002Wh*0.85/operating power of your device. For example, if the power consumption of your device is 60W, the estimated working time would be approximately 14.2hrs. Please note that actual power consumption may vary based on different usage scenarios.

Q3: What is the maximum wattage of solar panels that can be used to charge the Explorer 1000? Also, how long will it take to recharge from a fully discharged battery?

A: The Explorer 1000 has a maximum input wattage of 126W (12-30V, 7.5-8.33A). As to the recharging time, it depends on the solar panel you are using and the prevailing weather conditions. For example, if you connect two SolarSaga 100W solar panels together with an adapter cable, you can quickly recharge the Explorer 1000 within 6 hours. However, if you're using a single panel, the approximate recharging time is around 13 hours. It's important to note that recharging time may vary based on factors such as location, temperature, and weather conditions, so the actual time may differ.

Q4: Can the Explorer 1000 be charged while in use?

A: Yes, you can use the Explorer 1000 to charge devices while it is being recharged at the same time.

Okay, I will start out by saying I am a U.S Service-member with over twenty years of Honorable service. With that being said I’ve done multiple tours to almost every desert in the Middle East, tours in tropical environments, tours in some pretty secluded off grid undisclosed locations. I only put this out there because I’ve had the pleasure of being a Jackery customer for years and years and the Jackery 240 portable power station, , the Jackery Solar Saga 60w tri-fold panels, and the small Jackery portable chargers were compact and lightweight enough to fit into my pack with ease and leave me room for the other essentials. Imagine being in the middle of nowhere and have a weeks worth of power at your fingertips for recharges, lights, portable fans, small burner for coffee and cooking. Then being able to say it never failed you, always recharged quickly, and has been through the worlds harshest conditions and environments, yet functions like the day you pulled it out of the box. So this began my Jackery passion. Which led me to purchase the Jackery 500. Everything I’ve said above applies to the 500 ten fold folks. Being Military my pay isn’t great so I’ve had to accumulate these items over the course of years, however never have I had to justify spending the money to my wife, as long as I said the word Jackery. Because she’s used the items as well here at home guard. My son plays Football and daughter plays soccer in the Nevada desert just miles away from where the annual Burning Man event is held. Hot dry desert climate, no trees for shade, just direct unrelenting heat. This genius woman, the love of my life used our Jackery Portable power stations to run dual fans, and a small refrigerated trucker cooler during daytime practices in a pop up sunshade tent, all neatly placed in one of those little soccer mom wheeled totes, and a folding low loveseat chair. Talk about super mom, with lots of friends who also wanted to stay cool. Then when night fell and the kids weren’t finished with practice, my lovely wife handed over the Jackery 500 to the coaches who then plugged LED lights into it and lit up the field for the kids giving us an extra hour or two to practice without the heat. This convinced her to give me permission to buy the SolarSaga 100w panels. Money was tight but she gave me the go ahead and we’ve never looked back and haven’t got an ounce of regret or buyers remorse for a single product. But this review is neither for the the Jackery 240, the Jackery 500, the SolarSaga 100w or 60w panels. It’s not even for the Jackery portable chargers. This review is to let you know, the day the Jackery 1000w Portable Power Station became available we did not hesitate for a second to buy it. With the stories we heard from friends about California and Washington power outages, the Covid-19 Pandemic, and any one of the many RV trips we take into Gods country to get away from it all for a few weeks, we both agreed this was the best thing for our family. Why use heavy loud generators, carry fuel, deal with all that monotonous nonsense, when you could literally live off the Jackery Families products. I say Family because over the years I’ve had multiple email contacts and numerous phone calls with them, and every interaction was amazing. Courteous, professional, and the products are literally second to none. The Jackery 1000 is my newest addition and there’s nothing I can say about it that the 240 or 500 don’t already represent. Twice the power, twice the life, multiple solar panel options, can recharge through car, wall, or good ol sunshine. I could get technical and go down the path as some of these reviewers do, but you anyone can read the box. I can sum everything the box says by just telling you that these products, put out by this amazing company, can enhance anyone’s life, save somebodies life, and will probably last your the rest of yours. It’s a no brainer for us. I’ve purchased every product so far with a smile knowing its perfect and the people handing it to me care enough to treat you as if you were family.

I spent a good week putting this new Jackery 1000 through it paces. When it arrived, I was already surprised at the size of the box. It was smaller than I expected. I unpacked it finding the Jackery 1000, a solar charging adapter, 12V car charging adapter and the AC charging brick. The Jackery user guide, and all documentation is in Jackery style, easy to read and understand.

The Jackery 1000 is compact and very light for a 1000 watt portable power station. Weighing in at just a touch over 22 lbs, it is a lightweight with heavy performance. The large handle makes it easy to grab and take with you anywhere. In the car, on a picnic, outdoor party, camping, emergency, job site, you have power to go. It has 3 AC plugs that produce clean AC 110V, and up to 1000 watts combined. The AC power inverter is pure sine wave for sensitive electronics like your laptop and appliances. a 12V DC cigarette plug that has regulated 12V output. USB 2A and a USB quick charging port. Lastly, the Jackery sports 2 USB-C ports. Now you can connect your oldest and newest devices for charging.

The first thing I did was to get the unit fully charged. Since it was a sunny day, I charged it per solar. It arrived 38% charged, and the 200 watts in solar panels had it fully charged in about 5 hours. The new solar charging adapter is sleek, easy to use and allows for connecting two panels per 8 mm barrel plugs. The adapter connects to the Jackery per Anderson connector.

Since I had 1000 watts in this little package, I wanted to see what I could really run with it. So, I started with my full size refrigerator in our kitchen. It is a 22 cu. ft. bottom freezer unit. I plugged it in and it handled it with ease. I let it run over night for a total of 10 hours. It still had 33% left. I then fully recharged per the AC brick.

Now to the special part for me. The 12V DC output. This is a regulated 12V output. That means that it can reliably provide 12V DC power through its discharge cycle. So you can plug in your DC powered fridge/freezer and other DC powered appliances without the worry of errors and shutdowns due to low DC power. I plugged in my 52 qt DC powered fridge freezer and let it run almost 3 days in freezer mode. It ran with without a single error. Now that is impressive.

I plugged in a lot of USB devices ranging from older tablets, to new phones and took advantage of all of the USB ports. Everything charged flawlessly. I would have liked to seen the addition of a 45W PD port, but I am sure Jackery is planning that for the next unit. The USB PD port does deliver 18 watts. I tested the output with my USB tester, and all ports delivered the expected power without any deviations.

Other things I powered over the course of a week were a laptop, lamps, a projector, and even my entire entertainment system with 60" TV and surround sound system with amplifier and 6 speakers. I even connected two sump pumps, each with 3 HP electric motors at the same time. Everything I threw at the Jackery 1000 ran without problems.

This is a very reliable and compact unit that can literally go with you anywhere. It is lightweight, extremely practical, mobile, and very powerful. It is very versatile and has so many uses. So if you are looking for a compact powerhouse that can tackle even big loads up to 1000 watts, this is the perfect companion. It is a great value for the price and I give it 5 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very efficient, reliable to run 12v fridge, phones, light cooking devices
Reviewed in Canada on May 28, 2021
Very good powerstation. Very efficient. 935 usable wh on 1008wh. It runs my 12v fridge for 5 entire days at 41F in ambiant 77F temp. The fridge use 10% per 12hours , 20% per day or exactly 7,79w per hours. It charges all phones and tablet. It is very lightweight.
I bought a anderson extension 10FT to extend the 10FT factory cable of the solar panels. The panels are very good quality, lightweight, good looking, solid with velcro foot and bag to hold the junction and cable fixed to the panel. The javkery charge at 120-125wh in the sun. So it is limited by the embedded mppt charger, however you can exploit more the panel by plugging directly 2 phones or tablet and charge the jackery 1000. It does not reduce the jackery charging. Overall a good product. I just would like more inverter wattage capacity, faster charging ac and more solar charging like the jackery 1500 which is probably a better deal. However the jackery 1000 is the most lightweigh solar generator of 1000w minimum.

 5 Stars all the way.

I bought this about a year ago!
And I am leaving a review now that I've had time to use it thoroughly.

First off, I honestly have not had 1 issue with it since I got it a year ago!
I am extremely happy about that!

I personaly use it on my adult sized trike glow bike I personally created.
You can see the adult trike the Jackery powers in the video I posted here!
I use the jackery to power the a lazer light, disco light, and led strip lights, 500w fog machine, JBL Party Box 300, my phone, all at once. This Jackery 1000 allows me to power all these devices on my Trike so I can bring a party around town.
I do shows from it. Even during covid since it's a club on wheels, social distance friendly.
While I am riding around bumping music, using the fog machine, lights, the jackery on 1 charge actually lasts me for quite a few hours. If its 100% charged, I usually always come home with still 15% - 50% left after 4-8 hours.
It depends how much i use the fog machine and if I need to charge the JBL PartyBox 300.

The loudness of The Jackery 1000 sounds equivalent to a computer when the fans are on. It's honestly not too loud, in my opinion it's very reasonable!

I have also used the Jackery 1000 to charge my laptop, DJ equipment, a small record player, psp, phones, ipad, extension cords.

I enjoy the amount of ports it has to plug devices in!
I also do like the flashlight, I think its cool, I personally don't use it much but it works if you need it!

I think this would also be real great for camping or if you you live in your rv. You can get solar panels and use it to charge devices.

I personally have not expeirnced the solar panels with it. But I am thinking about grabbing them.

I have used the Jackery 1000 many times throughout the year, so it's been through a decent amount of cycles. It still performs just as good as when I got it.

You won't be disappointed with this Power Station.

I am an extremely happy customer to this day.

I hope this helps you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Works Great

Charged it up and tested running my fridge, Internet and a lamp. Kept all working fine for a couple of hours and the battery was still at 85% capacity. I'm ready for the periodic power outages here. Big + is having a true sine wave output - no humming or stress on equipment.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works very well...as advertised
Reviewed in Canada on December 5, 2022
This is the first Solar charged item that actually works pretty much as advertised. Charges the unit quickly and is very easy to set up and connect. A bit pricey but if you want something that works, this one certainly does. I've not yet run it for extended period of time but it seems to deliver the power that is specified. I would say super great for camping and as a limited backup at home for power failures.
