I like that the ingredients are safe and natural. I was looking for a daily staple for eye liner that was helpful not harmful and this is a pretty good product. I like it, however it does tend to fade and smudge as the day goes on. Admittedly I do have oily eyelids, and don't use an eyelid primer. I wanted a simple routine in the morning, and don't use this eyeliner daily since it doesn't last and I don't want to have to reapply. It is a nice brown color and works well with my blue eyes. I would love it if Jane Iredale had a waterproof version of this, until then the holy grail eyeliner hunt continues.

I recently purchased the color Taupe. Since Amazon only lets you review one color of an item, I wanted to add my comments about the Taupe. It is the perfect color for eyes and lips. It is a very subtle brown for your eyes and a little darker on the lips. It is great for the "I'm not wearing any makeup, I'm just naturally beautiful" look. I pair the lip liner with the sugar and butter lip duo set and it gives you a perfect neutral color with a tiny tint of color. On the eyes it gives you some color without being too made up or overbearing. Great choice for an all in one lip and eye pencil. I'll update as I purchase additional colors.

I currently own black/grey, great for that smokey eye look, beautiful for green eyes. Basic brown, a darker brown for more dramatic eyes, black/brown, which was my original review, good for dramatic smokey eyes, Nude, a good color for eyes and lips. On the lips it is a brownish mauve and on the eyes it is a brown with a hint of pink, which looks good with pink, brown, or purple shadows. Lastly, Spice, which I use for a lip liner. It is a lighter brown with a lot of pink undertones. It goes great with lip colors along the lines of Sarah and Sandra as well as the lip sugar and butter duo. I am blonde, blue/green eyes (they change), and light to medium skin with olive undertones. I hope this thorough review helps!

Flattering Color but Isn’t Long Lasting

I decided to get this eyeliner in taupe and the color is absolutely beautiful; I have light blue eyes so most eyeliners look a little too stark against my eyes/skin, so this was perfect! Or so I thought. I could tell right away that this is one of those eyeliners that you have to go back several times to build up the color, but unfortunately for me, it will he color never got more concentrated after the second pass. Also, I have an issue with my eyeliners fading away super early and this one does the same thing. By noon it is barely even then anymore. I am not sure if that is a “me” problem or an issue with the product. Overall, the color is super flattering and I really wanted this to become my staple eyeliner. Sadly this can’t be the case unless they reformulate the product. I hope they do.
