I make a lot of homemade ice cream - like 18 gallons of different flavors for the 4th of July celebration alone. I had a White Mountain previously and it died. I decided to replace it with the Immergood and I am really glad I did! It is so much quieter & leakproof. It also freezes ice cream faster by far than the WM too. The workmanship is top notch and very easy to clean. It is a big investment, but if you make ice cream the way I do, it is well worth it!

Let me first acknowledge that the price for the ice cream maker is shocking. But if you are a lover and frequent maker of homemade ice cream, this excellent product will freeze your apprehensions and thrill you with its ability to make ice cream amazingly fast, thick, and creamy. The motor used is ultra powerful and able to plow through any old fashioned heavy-cream recipe. You will watch the cream contents quickly rise to the top of the canister through the strong, clear plastic lid.

You will also use less ice due to the thick, thermal insulated bucket. Supposedly, the insulating material is equivalent to that used in Yeti coolers. Another advantage of this ice cream maker is that the motor housing and hardware is made from stainless steel. It's very unlikely that the motor housing and hardware will ever rust from contact with salt.

The build quality of the ice cream maker will make this a family heirloom that can pass to the next generation.

I guess this is the future of the cost of high quality workmanship manufactured in the USA. I balked at the price at first, but really, if you got used to the ice cream you can make in a White Mountain ice cream maker, this is your only option now. But once I received it and used it, I could see why the cost was so high. The motor on the Immergood is way better than the motor on the White Mountain machine I brought 20 years ago for $200. In fact, the motor is so smooth and quiet, it’s hard to tell when your ice cream is done. I could hear the motor on the old White Mountain machine from the second floor window and man, would that whine as the ice cream got close to being done. If you stand 20 feet away from the Immergood motor, you have to go back to see if it’s still running. I babied my White Mountain machine along for the last 10 years, putting silicon between the slats on the bucket as the wood would expand and shrink with the seasons, re-greasing the gears, oiling the motor, etc. all that is gone with this new Immergood freezer. The new ice bucket is amazing. The stainless work is great. This thing will definitely outlast me. The kids want to look at the will to see who’s getting this when I croak for the last time. It is worth the cost if you are a true homemade ice cream gourmet

Bought this beautiful ice cream freezer and chose it over the old White Mountain. The Good. 1. Nice fiberglass non leaking bucket that’s made to last a lifetime over an eventually rusting wooden bucket with rusting wire rings. 2. Freezer can stainless steel and super nice. 3. Quiet as a mouse not noisy, can hardly hear it run. 4. Was impressed when buying with the picture of what looked like a very strong vertical motor. THE BAD! Made three cans of ice cream my first day of use. No freezer can of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry would freeze hard enough to serve when the motor self shut off and had to pour it out and put it in the deep freeze to finish making it hard enough to be ice cream. All batches were able to just basically pour out of the can into a container to then put in the deep freeze to harden. Why would a company build such a quality unit and then under power it? Very disappointing. Need a hand crank to finish the job.

I bought a White Mountain several years ago and had nothing but problems. I really thought I had bought a forever and heirloom appliance. I bought this ice cream maker due to their attention to details and quality. For me, it was worth the investment. I ran my first batch and was amazed how quiet it was. With the White Mountain I had to wear earplugs!!

I read that some one reported a dent upon unpacking. I too found the same issue. The dent is just cosmetic but it is due to the paddle shaft breaking through the corrugated cardboard. They can fix this easily by placing a protective plastic cover on the shaft.
I’m looking forward to many years of service! Fingers crossed!!
