I used peanuts as bate and set the trap in an area where I had seen a mouse. Baiting the trap was easy and setting the trap was simple. Within 3 hours of setting the trap, a mouse entered and was detained unharmed. I took him to a trail I frequent and was able to release him with no contact and unharmed. This is a good, safe, and easy to use product which helped me get a mouse out of my home and release it into the wild.

Not sure how those adorable field mice get in and take up residence (especially in a multi-cat house), but since I'm not interested in killing the little creatures or harming my pets with toxins or traps, these are THE PERFECT HUMANE SOLUTION for mice evictions! Easy to set up, effective within a day or two, especially using peanut butter on the menu. Only SLIGHT issue is the peanut butter can make clean up tricky once you set the little guy free, but I've found if I put a dab of the peanut butter on a small square of cardboard first the clean up is much easier - I simply empty the mouse along with the degradable cardboard outside and wash the trap with hot soapy water - rinse well, dry and re-set as necessary. But now I wonder if I even HAVE a mouse problem, or is it actually the same little fellow I've been releasing who simply comes back in to play the age old cat & mouse game, er... human & mouse game.

We heard a scratching in the wall, found some skat, and ordered these traps. I can’t believe how amazingly well they worked!

It took me 5 minutes before bed to figure out how to use the traps, bait them with peanut butter, and set them out where we found the skat.

I turned out the lights, crawled into bed, and “CLICK!” Came downstairs and found this little guy, completely unharmed (albeit a bit surprised).

Released my adorable home invader in a nearby park and then slept like a baby. Terrific product with an effective design.

I would have preferred if the trap was made from recyclable materials (the plastic), but I’m hoping these last for a good, long time with no need to discard them.

When I realized a mouse had gotten into my house, I was really reluctant to get traps. I have never liked the traditional traps because it seems like a horrible way to die. I also have pets and a big husband that can see deer a mile away but can't find ketchup in our fridge, so I was worried they could get hurt. I was going to get glue traps and use oil to unstick the mouse after catching it, but I found these instead.

I was initially concerned it would be difficult to use, but it's very simple. I figured it out as soon as I pulled it from it's packaging and looked at it. The entry point has to be pushed down and clicks under the switch. There's another opening at the back that can be slid off to place bait or let the mouse out. If you set it down too roughly it can set the trap off, so be fairly gentle. If it does go off, it's easy to reset.

It only took three days for the mouse to be captured. I woke up and heard it running around in the trap. He was perfectly healthy and safe. Another concern I had was that the mouse would somehow be able to pull the trap door back and squeeze out, but that didn't happen.

A few things I recommend: if you move the mouse to another location for release like I did, take a plastic bag and maybe a rag with you. Even a grocery bag would do. The mouse I caught soiled the trap and with the openings for air, it could easily get on your hands or belongings. If I catch another mouse, I plan on setting it on a rag on a plastic bag to catch any urine, and once I release the mouse, put it in bag until I can clean it.

Another tip is to slowly tilt the side with the removable door upwards so the mouse sits on the other end. Remove the door and set the trap down to release. Again, I was worried about getting urine on my hands and car, so take a bag with you.

I really don't think these will be difficult to clean, but I will update my review if I have issues. I would recommend these and buy again.

None since then so hopefully I got all of them! These work very well but don’t put in dish washer like I did! I taped the platform to reduce the free play and it would be more sensitive
