I walked over 10k steps a day with no issues. I did wear no show socks a few times and shoes were still comfortable and fit fine. After a few days of wear, the shoes squeaked and when I wore socks the squeaking stopped.

I could also wear with a thin sock, but I prefer without. Some hey dudes I have tried slip off the back of my foot as I walk, these stay on with every step nice and snug. Worth the $$.
