Safety Information

Do not use it if you already had a reaction to hair color or shampoo products or If you have a rash on your face or sensitive, irritated & damaged scalp. Do not use on eyelashes or eyebrows; to do so may cause blindness. Keep away from children. If you are pregnant contact your health care provider before use. Remember to perform THE 48-HOUR SKIN ALLERGY TEST (PATCH TEST) before each use even if you have previously used this or other hair coloring products. For this reason, buy this product two days before you intend to use it. To make the patch test, a small area of skin behind the ear or the inner surface of the forearm should be cleansed, using either soap and water or alcohol, and a small quantity of the hair dye as prepared for use should be applied to the area and allowed to dry. After 24 hours, the area should be washed gently with soap and water. If no irritation is apparent, it is usually assumed that no hypersensitivity to the dye exists. Remember you must need to test for 24 hours not, less than that. The test should however be carried out before each application. On no account should the hair dye be used for dyeing eyebrows or eyelashes as severe irritation of the eye or even blindness may result.

Directions

Before starting, read the safety instructions and do the allergy alert test. 1.Put on plastic gloves before opening the container of the Color Shampoo. 2.Pump the color shampoo on gloved palm. 3.Apply desired amount on dry hair. 4.Keep color shampoo on hair for 15-20 minutes until it is evenly distributed on hair, for stubborn grey keep up to 20-25 minutes. The time may vary depending on the intensity of the color result you would like to achieve. 5.Rinse well, until the water runs clear.

Unlike hair color, if you get this on your skin it will stain for days on end. SO be careful when applying. Reminds me of henna. Is it a henna?

That being said, this works for me. I used it on (sort of) clean but totally dry hair. I massaged it in, left it on for probably closer to half an hour. Then rinsed my hair well.

The packets contain both the color and a creamy conditioner-like substance. They are not separated, but neither are they mixed. You just mix it as you take it out (ie. put some in hand then mix it). I used a small dish to dump the contents out. Then used a silicone spatula to mix it. Then I slipped on the ONE PAIR of included gloves to apply to my hair.

I use this to cover some grays that are situated at the temples. I'm not ready to grow out my greys, and frankly they dont grow out long. Just sort of sit in two weird patches that wash me out. I am not one to go to the salon, and was looking for something easy. Not even wanting "permanent" color, I looked for temporary/semi permanent. Figure that is healthier on hair.

However, the latter can be hard to cover grays. I gave this color depositing shampoo a try even though other color depositing shampoos or glazes have not performed.

I can say that this works well. I have dark brown hair, chose the dark brown color option. This made my grays a deep auburn. Not a dark brown, but a reddish brown. I look like I have highlights. It is rather nice. I like it so far, and will be using the remaining packs over time.

I thought this overall easy to use, not smelly, hair looks clean, rich in color.

JUST OMG THE STAINING. Next time I will be extra extra extra careful. I will also need to use my own gloves since this comes with just one pair. Also comes with one packet of conditioner (can probably get several uses from).

Each one is individually packaged nicely and great for travel. Comes with gloves that are made of great quality. Pouring product out of the package gets quite messy. because there is no pump or just a medium size hole to release and control the product it comes out quite a bit. Had to control the amount of product when it came out and make sure that the mixture combines in both hands. A bit of a challenge, but doable. With the conditioner it comes with, leaves the hair soft and smooth. Because of the inconvenience of being difficult when pouring out, that would be for less stars. However, the convenience of individual packets is a great idea and I would definitely take it with me on travels.

I was skeptical of this product but so many great reviews made me try it. I have very strong white roots and this actually worked, not a single strand of grey in sight! I loved how easy it was to use. No more sectioning off my thick curly hair and missing spots. I ordered the travel pouches just to try it first before buying the big bottles and now ordered 2 bottles of the new formula (Black & Dark Brown). I like to mix them for a softer black. I do wish they would come out with a Soft Black, as Jet Black is all they offer at this time. Love it! Have recommended to friends and family already.

This came in sachets and I used 2 on my roots. Was fiddly as had to mix in palm of my hands (with gloves on) then rub into dry hair. Made a bit of a mess and it’s not the easiest. But it is definitely worth it!! I left in for 20 minutes then rinsed out and conditioned. My hair has not looked this awesome in years! It’s a natural colour, cannot see any greys (I’ve been trying so many different hair dyes but none can cover the greys) my hair is soft, and so shiny I can almost see my reflection in it!
