I have limited cabinet space so elect to have only freezer bags on hand since I use them for that as much or more than regular storage. I have no patience for bags without a 'zipper' and my experience has indicated that this brand does better than others. If you can smell the garlic through the bag, it's obviously not doing the best job so I ditched all but this brand which is the most reliable (no smell and keeps frozen things good longer). I first got the stand up version by accident in the grocery but found I liked them better since they hold a bit more and make filling easier. I have a stand for holding a bag while it's being filled but it's hard to adjust so I leave it on the gallon bag setting. The fact that I can fill these bags without that helper is extra nice. They may be a bit more expensive (although I haven't done a price comparison with other bags) but it's worth it to me to have a quart sized one-bag-does-all at the ready for my varied needs. I even have a FoodSaver, but sometimes it's just easier to freeze something in these if I know I'll be using it sooner rather than later.

They keep foods safe from freezer burn. They keep foods in refrigerator fresher longer. Even things like open crackers and nuts taste fresher stored in these in the cupboard. They keep pests out better than thinner cheaper bags when we are camping - less odor to attract critters maybe and a slightly thicker barrier for a critter to have to chew through. Oh, and they are great to organize items I am packing for travel or to store for a season. I like this brand. And I especially like the zipper to seal the bag securely. And that they’re re-useable. A little pricey here. But convenient to have them delivered in a day or two.

The quality of Ziploc bags has decreased in recent years, so I only buy these Hefty Sliders. The bags are thick and the sliders glide easily. I use these to freeze meats, sauces, cooking when I have to coat meats, frozen breakfast items, etc. I've never had one get a hole or leak. The current price of $8.90 for 3 boxes is a real bargain because at my local store, these are $3.99 a box. For the current price on Amazon, they're $2.97 a box. Highly recommended!

I keep on reusing these bags and I find them durable. They seem to offer a good seal because food that I freezing them doesn’t seem to develop freezer burns. The plastic seems to be thicker than on some other bags. The sliders survive multiple uses and hand washing without breaking.
