There is enough variety of colors that I've been able to find a color that worked for any natural wood colored pieces I've used it on from white to light, to dark and black. Someone mentioned that the white didn't work, and I found that you have to layer it a few times for it to work. A cream or off white marker, gold and silver would be good additions to make this a perfect set. I'm not sure how I feel about the wax crayons yet, used them on a really badly scratched up armrest and not sure if it made a difference or not.

Definitely read the instructions!! Have a paper towel or cloth ready to wipe as soon as you use the marker so that it blends well. These work so well to hide scratches! My cat jumped on an antique dresser and didn't quite make it, leaving claw marks on the top drawer. I literally cried! After using the markers, you can no longer see the scratches at all.

Note that the gray is a charcoal. I do wish that there was a lighter gray included. There is a good selection of shades of brown.
