So I have a plan to use this in our Christmas outdoor decoration set up, and the bulb size (small) and string length (long) are perfect! It states there's a remote, but nothing is in the package. Also, the box is very flimsy, so if you intend to use it as storage for the spool, reinforce with duct tape or something in case you stack other boxes on top of it. I included a pic of it lit up and the brightness will be fantastic when I thread it on my front yard where I'm trying to make the ground look like 'snow'. Hopefully it's truly waterproof as it states in the description!Edit: Added a pic of where I used it on our walkway side path, looks outstanding!Edit2: Bought another set for the other side of the walkway, pic included - these are fantastic!

I didn't use them outside nor use the remote so I can't speak to that. However, I love them for inside. VERY long, very little tangling and the lights are bright and pretty. There are at least seven settings for lights (steady, blinking, etc.) which may drive you crazy until you find the one you want. Because the blinking, etc., resets itself each time when turned off, I just kept them on all the time. Easy fix!

These lights are great, and would've earned a glowing 5 star from me if not for one issue. Overall, they are bright, the color is true, and they don't get hot. They're well made for outdoors, and the lead cord before the first light is a very generous length of over 10ft. The problem is that there's only one button to cycle through all the different settings, and it doesn't remember your previous setting between on/off cycles. And 'steady' is not the default setting. So almost every day I had to go out to the porch and reset them to steady light so they wouldn't be flashing and blinking all evening.

I ordered 3 colors and all 3 worked, looked great, and had no issues besides the tedious cycle reset issue.

Bought these for our landscaping on front of the house for Christmas lights. Thought it was a great deal for that long of a string. Draped them over the bushes and plugged them in. Looked nice, so we turned them off.
2 weeks later we tried to turn them on in the evening and thought the GFCI had failed. No lights. Checked the wiring with a meter and found power to the light string. No lights. Pressed the button on the light string controller and several of the bulbs lit dimly and went out. Plugged a known good lamp into the cord from the power supply and VOILA, light.
Moral of the story, you get what you pay for. Past the return window, into the recycling bin. Should've known better

I have to apologize to the manufacturer / seller of this light string. What I attributed to shoddy manufacture was actually rodent damage to the wires.
Upon removing the light string from the outdoor display to replace them after the weather warmed up a little, I noticed that the second strand in line had been dined on by the local rodent population.
This must've shorted out the transformer at the plug.
I know better than to make a determination without all the evidence but this time I failed in that regard.
Hope the vermin at least got indigestion from it.

Constructed a flag pole Christmas tree that took me a week. Finished product was amazing and the lights were perfection. Twinkled so beautifully. 3 weeks later they stopped working. Tried different plugs, cords, boxes, etc. reached out to Amazon and they sent a replacement. Deconstructed the tree which took me 2 hours. And then another MANY hours, again, to get it reconstructed and working again. Finally got it done. Was so happy to have my flag pole Christmas tree twinkling again and so excited to show my family who was coming to visit on Christmas Eve. Fast forward to today, 7 days later from the date the replacements were delivered, ON CHRISTMAS EVE….I go to turn all my lights on with my proudest being my homemade flagpole Christmas tree…..and nothing. Ran down to the field, checked the plugs again. Tried cords and boxes because there was NO WAY this was happening again. But it was. And on Christmas Eve of all days. Two strands of lights, with the first strand purchased on Thanksgiving, both went out in less than a month. Never again. Thanks FUNPENY for pretty much ruining my Christmas Eve excitement.
