Very happy with the new acquisition, it was time to renew the old equipment.

The offer was good when I made the purchase and when I received the Dell G15 it came with an additional box for greater protection. When I turned on the device, it did not cause any problems and the configuration process with Windows 11 is quite easy.
I have been with the equipment for more than two weeks and it has not presented any problems in its operation, both in programs and in the equipment in general.
A detail to take into account is that the G15 5530 model the keyboard lights up in a single color and the seller's images show an identical device that maintains RGB lights on its keyboard, which better refers to the 16" version and not to the 15.1" screen.
Otherwise, the overall quality and feel of the equipment feels of very good quality despite being all made of quite resistant plastic. Take into account when transporting the equipment the weight of the laptop plus the charger requires a briefcase with good space.

Waited and got this laptop on sale during Prime Day. Got it, started setting it up, and within a few hours it began to randomly reboot and freeze. Attempted to resolve the issue myself, numerous patches and updates, no luck. I spent more than two hours on the phone with Dell, and they could not resolve the issue remotely. They suggested I get a replacement from the seller. I sought a replacement and was told by Asurion- I'd paid for 4 years of protection- and Amazon that a refund was my only option. Normally this wouldn't be so bad, but the 20% savings I'd waited for was effectively flushed down the drain and I'll need to wait for another sale event. So, all in all a pretty miserable experience.

If it hadn't been a dud, I really think I would've liked it. Seemed nice. Oh well.

Update: i go the replacement and it does NOT have the line on the screen. laptop runs games well at 1080p, which is what i was hoping for. only issue is that the laptop acts weird on battery. i was playing eldin ring and it ran fine for a while, but then just started running at 1-2 fps. alt+tab tooks a while to work and so did the windows button. first time i had to hard shut down. when it happened again i was able to close the game and the desktop ran fine after that. really weird. may have been over heating or something. i was playing it in the car. never got any notifications about the computer over heating though.

The one i got is defective. It has a line on the screen. Updated bios, drivers, used ddu, booted to external media. Persisted. Sending back and ordered another one. Will update if that replacement is not defective.

I've been using it for months, It's given me a great deal of performance for the price, running most games at 120 fps comfortably, and hasn't given me any issues in coding. The screen has great colors, it's really smooth. Ram can be an issue, but you can always just slap another stick in there. All these points are great except that IT COLLECTS ALOT of dust, and it warms up a lot and you can see the dust that it accumulated in the vents from the outside. Cleaning can be quite tricky but is doable, considering it must be done often it is annoying. The RGB is mediocre at best, as it doesn't seep through the key caps bright enough, and you don't have many customization options, and the program by alien ware is ok. About the battery, I'd give it 2 stars if this wasn't a gaming laptop, nowadays you can find laptops that last 10 hours, this one can last around 5 if you really push it to save battery, which is good enough for my situation in college. Overall for what it is, and to whom it seems to appeal to it's a decent deal.
