Your hand grip is comprised of ten small muscles, three of which are located in your forearm and wrist and seven of which are located in your hand. The three muscles located in your forearms are the Flexor Pollicis Longus, Flexor Digitorum Superficialis and Flexor Digitorum Profundus. The seven muscles in your hands are the Opponens Digiti Minimi, Opponens Pollicis, Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis, Flexor Pollicis Brevis, Adductor Pollicis, First Dorsal Interossei and Palmar Interossei. While some weightlifters try to strengthen these grip muscles in order to improve their workouts, they often find themselves skimping on working out their other muscles in order to do so. They become so focused on their grip, that they overlook much larger muscles like the arms, chest and back. HOW TO PERFORM A PULLING EXERCISE WITH COBRA GRIPS

Whether you’re performing chin-ups, shrugs, dead lifts or other pulling movements, Cobra Grips provide the ultimate support. When you’re ready to begin the pulling exercise, simply place the Cobra Grip in front of your palm while positioning the weightlifting bar between your palm and the gripping area. Last pair of straps I will ever buy! I just recently got these and as long as they don’t rip, I don’t think I will be buying any other straps ever again. These are amazing! So comfortable! And the grip is second to none! Grips are comfortable for both my wrists and my hands. I sweat A LOT and my grips tend to suffer because of this (bar slipping out of my hands) but with these leather straps it feels like I have glue on my hands. Conventional straps hurt my wrists after a bit because I make them extremely tight, but with these I can make them as tight as my heart desires, it feels like clouds on my wrists. No matter how heavy the weight, there isn’t any pain anywhere, wrists or hands. Best straps out there! You won’t regret them!

They don’t extend much beyond my palm. I have XXL-XXXL hands and long fingers, and did order the largest ones (XL). Which means they don’t really work well at all. I’m pretty disappointed and going to just use my $20 pair that works great.

The style is by far my favourite on the market, and the quality leather, stitching, and design comes together perfectly (while being much cheaper than alternative grips on the market). It is also very comfortable and functional: the padding feels very nice (and makes sure the grips don’t slide around during a lift), and it helps in my lifts so much that my max deadlift increased by 30lbs from my last session. Another nice added benefit is wrist support; I personally put the grips on during my bench and squat to help with wrist stability. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is serious about bodybuilding or powerlifting.
